It's going to make very little difference.

This will definitely hurt our recruiting in East Texas.

This really doesn't make much sense.

I could see this hurting the recruiting of three or four schools Texas, OU, OSU and TCU. They're the ones with the most to lose from A&M getting a boost in recruiting in Texas (if that even happens).

I think it doesn't really affect football, but exposure of the programs will help the other sports.

As long as the states of Georgia, Alabama, and Florida are producing talent, LSU will have the pick of the litter in Louisiana. It also helps that Mississippi and South Carolina have been having some good talent pools recently.

i think it helps both and here is why. aggies will now get more texas recruits from the longhorns because some of these kids will want to play in the sec. A full roster means they may now not need in la kids. As for as LSU is concerned, the proximity and the exposure playing in college station should help us as long as we keep beating the aggies.

Les must have known and this is why he almost completely quit recruiting anyone outside of LA. Without having to fight in Texas our coaces will have much more time for BBQs.

I think you are overstating some. The Ags move to the SEC will make A&M a much stronger program because of what you are stating. I don't think that carries into weakening LSU at all. With more SEC exposure into Texas it will benefit LSU. Remember, a school can only sign so many players in one recruiting year. I see the Longhorns as the big losers. Now they will have to deal with television exposure of Texas A&M playing in the SEC.

I would stay as far as away from this even if it is home. They are on a lame high horse!

Even better...an animated one!

Yeah so miles has signed 26 players from texas.

This year you will see, shepard, brockers, brooks, lee, loston, aghayere all play.

We also got the best cover corner from texas in david jenkins.

So what you posted is bullshite.

KIDS FROM EAST TEXAS IN LAST THREE CLASSES:

2012: 1

DE Danielle Hunter (note that Jalen Mills is from DeSoto, which is NOT E. Texas).

2011: 1

OLB Trevon Randle (note that David Jenkins is from Carrolton, which is NOT E. Texas)

2010: 1

OLB Luke Muncie (note that Zach Lee and Evan Washington are NOT from E. Texas).

Looking at the last three classes, we have signed 3 total players from the Houston area. The other players we have landed from Texas are from the DALLAS area.

WE ARE NOT RECRUITING EAST TEXAS WELL. PERIOD!

If you can't see the drop off, I don't know what to tell you.

But I am certainly not full of shite, and you should do a little research before sticking your foot in your mouth.

By the way, what you did was present a STRAW MAN argument, which is to say that you propped up an argument I didn't make and then attacked it.

My claim was never about Texas in general. It was about EAST TEXAS. And what I said is 100% true.

A&M coming to the SEC helps A&M... a lot I think.

Any TX kid that wants to play in the SEC or against the SEC, A&M is a "close to home" choice.

So, I believe, several kids in the state of TX that might not choose A&M.. maybe they'd choose Texas or LSU or perhaps another SEC school...they may now opt to go to A&M.
