He left USC solely bc he lost trust with the coaches. He supposedly said he did not leave for money, or playing time not earned. Add in he has La. roots, and was recruited by Lane before, and it starts to make some sense.
That's fine but that is the thinking of a different era to a large degree.
It would take a lot of self reflection on his part and him admitting that he is not ready to be a starter.
Because if he IS ready to be a starter, he should go start somewhere, even if its a G5 place like Tulane or whatever.
Because if you start for 1 year and play well, the next year you are getting offered like 5 mill. Sitting on the bench doesn't do that

Or maybe Miami and Tennessee just aren't "wowed" by his limited tape and are willing to roll with what is on their current rosters rather than reach on an unknown like Longstreet, who has high upside but very little live fire in game experience.

He must have some maturity. He's clearly not a diva. He would make a great teammate in the QB room, provided the starting job opportunity is fair, which it was supposedly not at USC.

Sounds like it. Tennessee likes their incoming 5 star qb Faizon Brandon more than Husan. Miami wants a proven/experienced qb.
Wondering what other offers he had in the portal? Did he take any other visits? Maybe he just wanted to be coached by Kiffin.
