The guys say LSU has the best QB room and the best WR room in the country.

PFF Transfer Portal Recap

The whole show was interesting/informative but the LSU talk starts at 57:40 mark.

The guys suggest Heisman & national championship contention next season based on the roster additions:

Pink helmets? Or Green helmets? Jersey number?
They fear what they will be without him.
They fear what he will do for their rival.
Fear turns into anger.
Anger turns into hate.
Hate turns into suffering.
I can't wait for anther melt. What time does Locked On Sling Blade come on tonight?

Mensah is elite.

When he was at Tulane, I said this dude was Temu Shedeur Sanders. I'm glad he's gonna get some shine on the big stage.
Had 36 OUT
Now, 36 IN, officially ..and still counting
This has been the best offseason ever:

-Legendary Coaching Changes Drama & Exhilaration
-Signing Day Sweepstakes
-Magical Portal Season Haul ...& counting

If the O line and TEs can block, this O is going to explode.

Yep, Ole Miss was low-key a running team. Kiffin & his QBs always get the shine for the explosive plays, but it was the running game that made them go.
"Fear is the path to the dark side. Fear leads to anger. Anger leads to hate. Hate leads to suffering."

-Kiffin, the Phantom Menace
quote:

I know many doubt him at the NFL level, but the QBs are really bad on paper this class.

The doubting is ludicrous. Chambliss is so reminiscent of Wisconsin's Russell Wilson, who had similar accuracy/ball-location, escapabilty/play-extension, & clutch playmaking, yet Wilson wasn't picked until the 3rd round bc of his less than ideal size.

omorrow is the deadline to enter the portal and next week is deadline for many schools to enroll for the spring semester...clock is ticking.

Imagine if LSU is preparing for a title appearance this time next year.

The amount of time & effort needed to acquire multiple portal players, plus prepare for the biggest game of the season, all before the spring deadline to enroll, it just seems a bit unfair for the CG participants.

CFB really needs to overhaul it's entire calendar. It's caused a crisis for coaching hires, early signing day and a portal crunch for the top CFP teams,

It’s a cheat but I’m going to say the 3 QBs.

I wouldn't apologize bc it was such a desert at QB for so so long, that when bluechip QBs like a Ryan Perrilloux or a Gunner Kiel or a Zach Lee committed and/or signed, that particular positon sent the fanbase into a momentary frenzy with visions of Heismans & championships dancing in their heads, only to discover the dry spell of elite QB play would continue.

Then the football gods sent Burrow & Daniels...and now, sent LSU 3 dynamic talents in 4 days that arguably make up the best QB room in CFB. It's still surreal, and totally reasonable to pick the QB position.
It will be nice with a solid foundation to one day only need a handful of transfers and be able to $plurge on a 5-star+ at, say, EDGE, OT, CB, LB or DT in one portal class.

Leavitt isn’t perfect and is definitely not winning the heisman

I mean, you may end up being right, but Leavitt is such of a unique talent, kind of like if Dart (arm) & Pavia (feet) & Mayfield (moxie) somehow had a baby, Kiffin may very well have a Heisman winner in the building.
That was incredible! This kid has got heart and determination.
I've watched 4 full games of Leavitt at Arizona St so far. He jumps off the screen with dynamic runs, throws, clutch-ness, swag. He is easily the most polished playmaker of the three.

I've only seen one full game of Longstreet with USC vs MO St. Thinking the full game would show more to the story than the highlights. It doesn't. He looked just as dynamic as he does in the highlights, albeit in a small sample (complete 2nd half vs a trash team). I think I'm most excited to see more of his repertoire.

Clark has all the tools to be a star one day, but in the one full game I saw vs Duke, he is clearly raw & inexperienced. No need to rush him just yet either.

I truly think we'd be ok if any of these guys had to start a game.

I've only seen one full game of Landen Clark in a season opening 45-17 loss between Elon vs Duke. In the highlights, Clark shows you all the tools he has from the elite gun to the dynamic runs.

But what the highlights don't show, and the full game does, is that he is not ready for primetime in the SEC just yet. He needs this year, for sure, under Kiffin's tutelage. Typical freshman flaws that can be worked out with reps: premature pocket-leaving, timing issues, 3 & outs, ball location hiccups (threw too high or behind). etc... just think of early season LSU games where a newbie gets some reps in the 4th qtr but the QB looks raw. That was Clark, in that one game I saw. He's now a soph, so I'm sure he improved over a full season, but I'm glad there's no rush to put him in games just yet. He has the tools to be a star one day.

Hell, we might even have 70,000+ at the Spring Game (ala Bama).
