Also noted that the Brown family and Karr community were pretty shook about the uncertainty of Frank

I'm curious if any other D1 schools have essentially a HS coaching mafia that holds kids from one of the top talent cities hostage unless the school has a coach or staff member that they deem worthy

Does this happen to the Florida schools? Does the Miami area all require the big 3 to have a handler on staff?

ffs. get over it. By all accounts Frank is a good dude and everyone likes him. His status should not matter to Dline recruit however. People come, people go, including players.

I posted in a thread on tRant but yes 100% - Jimmy knows what's going on with Frank at any given time. Whether he'll share or not, who knows. But he is the most in the know of radio guys re: Frank and Karr and other NO schools

He just said that Anderson is a done deal, the “clerical error” was basically more money than what Austin Thomas had initially offered. Also said Brown is in the boat too, even said he’ll sign at the U-High pep rally tomorrow. Also noted that the Brown family and Karr community were pretty shook about the uncertainty of Frank

This basically confirms what we all know - sure they can say they're concerned about Frank not being on staff, but not concerned that it can't be resolved by more money

Lane didn't move for money. He moved for a better opportunity. These kids parents with their hands in the cookie jar are pathetic. I think it was Underwood's dad who said he didn't want to work anymore.

“Resolved” meaning Frank’s retainment?

You keep thinking that. If the N.O. coaches don’t have “one of them” on staff that they feel like they can trust and have rapport with, we will definitely feel it. There have been newspaper articles written about this. It’s a real thing

We all want Frank around to keep that tie with New Orleans, b/c it's a special place. But, Frank has to understand what his role is with this new staff. Kevin Smith has been with Lane for 10 years, was a dude in college, and a solid NFL back. Ole Miss' running backs have been EXTREMELY well coached the last 6 seasons.

Nope but LSU does and you can either play their game or not. Ultimately it’s obvious that LSU values that relationship and will make staff allowances to make it happen.

I totally agree. He does not to coach RB’s anymore than Brad Davis needs to coach o-linemen.

Where did Stewart land ? The NO thing with Frank is overrated now. You know what's not overrated ? $$$$$$$$ Frank is a terrible rb coach as well.

You really think every kid from New Orleans will go to LSU? And I agree, Franks best days as a RB coach are behind him.

Yep. OM has had way better rb production since Lane has been coach.

This is easily fixed. There can only be 1 to 3 people in New Orleans that are calling the shots. Find out who they are and go make a deal with them if it is deemed that Frank needs to take a different position. These are HS coaches and handlers. It would not take much to convince them to keep promoting LSU to their players regardless of who is on staff.

I think “That’s enough, Wolfcola” should just be what we say anytime someone here is melting like a bitch for no reason, from here on out.

That is a damn good idea.

I also like the phrase that somebody used in a thread today, paraphrasing, "don't blow a head gasket".....being old and a former gear jockey; I haven't heard that one in a long, long time.

Seems that since most agree our O-Line & O-line coach haven’t been productive, most would assume that our RB’s and running game would struggle…and it has.

Pretty sure Frank didn’t just forget how to coach RB’s.

We’ve been dead last in rushing the last 2 years despite having 4 o-linemen drafted last year. Maybe Franks way of running wasn’t best suited for getting the ball flat footed 5 yards behind the line of scrimmage every play. Who knows. I just know that it cannot get any worse
