I have long thought that the problem with Shreveport high school football is the lack of feeder middle school (kids scatter to any number of schools after middle school), plus the fact that there is little to no communication between high school coaches and middle school coaches. The big reason for that is the first reason. No middle school feeds directly to a high school and a high school coach can't go and entice a middle school kid to come to their high school - that is known as recruiting.
you make a compelling argument, I grew up in the port city and went to catholic school we fed into Jesuit, we all ran their system from 4th to 8th grade. I can see that communication would be an issue but did not see that in Shreveport growing up. Things have certainly changed.

If Jordan is a true 4.0 and want sto go to Vandy and do well, he will NOT attend Evangel, either.
If the 4.0 is AT Evangel, then a whole different view has to be taken of his academic abilities. I'm sure some bright kids have gone thru Evangel, and some have gotten into good schools.
Evangel, however, simply cannot be considered a serious college prep high school, even compared to public schools in the area. And there are persistent faculty- borne tales of academic fraud there
What amazes me is that some of you are so smart that you are stupid beyond explanation. You have to be the biggest douche bag on this site to discredit a kid with a 4.0 at any school to say where they should attend. BTW Evangel has a great academic program just not all football. When I attened we won state in academics.
BTW His brother Trey - Graduated from ECA with a 3.8 and still maintains excellent grades.
Just becuase you knew some dumb football players that doesnt speak for everyone. Its idiots who get by at every school.

you guys talking bout them youngins again...... I'm telling you there is a guy that will be going to St. Amant High next year that is a monster. Played QB and FS at Galvez middle this year. I'm not an expert at certain positions, but I sure can spot others..... this guy is going to be a big-time national recruit. I think he projects as a FS.
CLM knows him :F

TigerPhanatic,
Your lack of sophistication may be blamed to some degree on your education.
Evangel is a joke as an academic institution, ACCORDING TO FOLKS WHO HAVE TAUGHT THERE, as well as it's graduates and their parents.
As I indicated, there have been a few grads who have been admitted into very good schools. These students must hav ebeen very bright. No doubt these achievements were despite and not becuase of Evangel.
You may be rightfully proud of your school's athletic achievements, young grasshopper...
Let's just leave it there.

NItwit,
Your intelligence is indicative of your lack of common sense. If you want to be a jerk be one go ahead and shoot your self as far as I am concerned. One less a-hole in my opinion.
But to say an entire insitution is bad based off of the microscopic conversations you have had with a teacher is assanine.
I went to Evangel, what school did you attend?
What teacher did you talk to? Where are they teaching now? It's more to the story than you showing up bad mouthing a kid and a school.
If the school was that corrupt they wouldn't still be servicing our community. Now I have never said it was an academic standout but there are some kids who go there to get an education and learn. Only 50 kids play football.
I know you hate ECA and you want them to fail but face it, It's a lost cause. So Lets just leave it there. Watch the success keep coming.
