I think its rather simple. We should trust the coaches who have seen him in person. Mile was an OL at Michigan, nice resume. And Coach Strud has had 2 of his centers from Bowling Green(of all places) get drafted in the last 4 years, so obviously he knows how to evaluate and coach up interior lineman.

I hear you. But I reserve the right to criticize when it doesn't fit my own personal agenda.

Rivals doesn't care which video looks best. They'll grab the one that is closest in reach and put it up there. I know how they operate.

Just the kind of humor I needed to start the day ( sleeping in in the summer is one of the few advantages of being a teacher/coach)

I saw several plays though. I don't see what all the negative banter is about. First, he's out of position at guard. He's a tackle. He needs more conditioning work, but his upper body (strength) looks really good for his age.

Sorry Clean but you are wrong on that. He is being offered as a OG by LSU. Other schools looked at him as an OT, and did not offer (Alabama, AU, and Tenn)

Looks like he would be a nice strongside tackle to me - more so than a guard. But that's just me.

Film is up on TOS and he is THE WORST looking prospect I have seen LSU recruit in the past 3 years!!

I'm sure this will make some people mad and he is outside of your three year window but Mark Synder looked much worse on film than Wilford.

It just makes me nervous to take a guy from Alabama(not the most populated state in the country) that doesn't have an offer from either SEC school in state.

Do you really value Nick Saban's opinion on Offensive Lineman?

I watched his film first, became extremely pissed, then came to post about it and saw this thread. But i seriously don't think this is a year to take a chance on a project guy like this. Barkevious mingo is already raw enough to be considered a project.

His footwork is painfully slow, too slow to be considered a tackle. And the majority of the "lineman" he's dominating look around 200 lbs. About two thirds of the way through the first vid, he steps up to pick up a linebacker, and the fool actually turns around and runs away. a complete 180. fricking wow. Hopefully he's either improved since this vid, or he at least get's a greyshirt

He's 6'7" 345 lbs. What do you expect them to look like?

As said earlier, he is probably just getting adjusted to his gowth spurt. Once his coordination catches up to him, he could be a monster.
