You make a good point. But, Miles and staff have never figured out what to do with Shepard, and I don't think they ever will get the most out of him.
Jarvis Landry looked great last night and he looks like he is ready right now to take over the slot.
I think they should have used Russell Shepard just like they planned to when they signed him. MIles has let Jefferson's slow and regressing progress slowly eat up this Tiger team.
I would have moved JJ to a wide out or a DB and moved Shepard in a long time ago. But Shepard is not successful and needless to say Jefferson is certainly not.

i've seen this a couple times mentioned. Can JJ play WR or are people just assuming he can because he is an athletic QB.can he catch, run routes, take hits, block?

But in relation to the thread....I think Shepard will end up just fine, and next year will be a big year for him. He's got tremendous work ethic, athleticism, and mental ability. I'm thinking he stays at slot, and JL will get on the field somewhere maybe #2 if he proves he can play early in the fall, according to many of the people at the UA practices he has the ability to do so. Boone, Wright, Tolliver will get on the field somewhere. OBJ will get a shot at the slot pos, he has been playing VERY well at the army bowl practices so far. And don't forget about A Williams, he could be the tall, athletic, wide-out we need. He is fast, and has a nice vertical.
I'm not sure about Gore/Fobbs. Both are very talented. Gore is a bit shifty, I think he stays at RB/KR/PR. Fobbs/OBJ one of them may have to play D along with Lewis
