The reports are he's ahead of schedule.
I’m optimistic, but reports from his camp that he’s ahead of schedule while trying to drive his price up between schools doesn’t seem like fail proof logic

Reading about the surgery Dr Google says return to sport after 16weeks if he had surgery in Nov thats 7 weeks almost halfway why would he not be ready for spring in March
And to piggyback, I just say a blog saying his damage was not as bad as bad as most. This person also confirmed Apr/may

Physical therapist for 19 years.
His foot will be healed and stable.
Many athletes continue to have pretty significant discomfort and lack of mobility for quite awhile. Different body types with slight variations in mechanics can cause variance in discomfort from one player to the next.
TLDR: He probably won’t be his “best” next year but he will be good to play. He WILL miss the spring on any protocol I’ve ever seen.

Didn't Derek Stingley Jr have this type of injury? He's pretty awesome still.
Forgive me if I am wrong. I am not even looking it up.

Can someone verify if Leavitt is still wearing a boot. The pic from the PMAC appeared to not have a boot.
If he is without boot, he is ahead of schedule as per Google.

Medicine is better now which helps, having said that some players come 100, some play but not as well and for some it’s career ending. It’s a case by case thing and also depends on how bad the damage was. I know they have laws governing the medical records but he can waive his privacy rights allowing the team Drs to talk to his Drs and review the records. If LSU Drs ask for all that stuff and he says no, they’re saying no to a 5 million dollar deal. No school is taking that risk without being confident they have all the facts. Not an injury you can take the players word on.
