I really think they should try switching Cowan out for Alexis or Haley and just see how it goes. Cowan hasn’t looked as sharped for a few meets now.

They both need to be more consistent in practice first before Jay even considers putting them in a lineup, especially with Jeff still coming back from back surgery this past summer

Good away score last night. We may move down but Fla had another high scoring home meet so I’m not too worried. Going into next weekend I have ideas what I would I do.
Vt I would put Vic/Madison in. Put Nina in for Konnor. Let kaliya try her double.
Ub I would move Konnor to 4th, and put Courtney in 6th(give her a 10!)
Bb I would move Konnor to 3rd or 4th and move Amari or Kaliya down to 6th to score boost ala Fla.
Fx I would rest kailin and put in Madi.

What do y’all think of my ideas?

Nina's vault is flat with no amplitude. Until she can get a better block she shouldn't e used on vault.

Maybe put in Madi and Vic. Just want more depth.

As predicted Fla moved up to 2 with their very favorable schedule so far, although I will say looking at their schedule as a whole it’s very good for them. That meet between them and Okla in 2 weeks will go off the rails scoring wise. Lol

Florida goes to Missouri this weekend. Missouri is always a challenge for any visiting team. We'll see how the Gators fare with the judging and commentators.

Oklahoma is home and will host Alabama. We can use another 198/198+ to bolster our average until NQS kicks in and we can drop that 196.85 from Georgia. That score is hurting LSU's average for now.

Skye Kerico will transfer to LSU

Skye Kerico

I am thrilled to announce that I will be attending LSU on a full-athletic scholarship for my fifth year! Special thanks to the coaches, team, and staff who made my time there feel like home. And of course, thank you to my family for their constant love and support. Beyond excited for what the future holds and to wear purple and gold next year! ??????#geauxtigers

No changes made to the lineups at all. No order shuffle or anything. Kinda disappointed. What’s the point of all this depth if you don’t use it the only meet (to me) that you are still almost guaranteed a win. Frustrating

You must’ve missed Jeff back on bars in place of Mustari AND the exhibition routines that will be shown today (Vic and Nina on vault, Nina on bars, Madi and Emily on beam and Lexi on floor). That counts for something in my book

Not in mine and no didn’t miss it. It frustrates me they won’t move Konnor up in lineups and her full will not cut it in post season. I want them to move Courtney down to 6th so she can get her 10! I want Konnor moved in 4th spot in beam because she was so good there her freshman year.

If I remember correctly, Courtney NEVER anchored in her time at Boise State so why would we change that just because she’s now at LSU? That can HEAVILY mess up an athlete’s mental game competition wise, as we’ve seen it do for Konnor. You’re so hypocritical in the way you’re trying to manage lineups for the coaches.

Edited to add: Also, if today’s vault exhibitions and rotation proved anything, it’s that Nina and Vic aren’t lineup ready yet At ALL. And it’s likely Kaliya and Konnor aren’t ready with their doubles yet but will debut them in the second half of the season WHEN they’re ready

Okay. I thought this was a board for us to discuss our thoughts but apparently you’re so in the know that I’m not allowed to comment. Good to know. Eyeroll

Even with just a 197.525, we should still move ahead of Florida in the rankings after this week, or closer to them at least

I haven’t watched their meet yet but the had a disaster on bars. Those bars are a trip for all visiting teams. On the flip side I see Okla had “their” normal 198+ score. Lol

I did the math correctly in my head: our average after tonight moves to 197.52 while Florida’s drops to 197.32. Alabama and UCLA will also move ahead of them. Not sure what other teams will as well but I’m sure a couple others will too

Not our finest showing tonight. Konnor is struggling period. Heaven help this talented gymnast.

Florida lost to Missouri 196.50 to Missouri's 197.20.
Oklahoma 198.2 It is hard to overcome OK on their turf. They always get the scores even without sticks.

Anyone on this board know what was up with Kaliya’s beam score? It was better than Amari’s and Konnor’s - and I do not believe she missed any composition credit or connections. I can only think rhythm deduction, but those are so rarely taken…

The beam judges were ripping the girls for anything they could find. Kaliya 's beam was one of the best on the team. Chio was truly robbed. Jay was livid with the judging as it was across all four events.

Jenny Rowland's statement after the 196.5 at Missouri. They host Oklahoma next week.

ROWLAND SAID:
On team's performance:
"We talked about this is who we were tonight. To us, to me, to our staff, to our team – this meet does not define who we are. I know without a doubt they will use this a momentum to catapult them forward. This team attacks nothing no other way, They aren't going to get down, they aren't going to feel sorry for themselves. They are going to look themselves in the eye and say 'what can I do to get better and not to let this happen again?" I know the fight is there, the will is there, the want is there." – Florida Head Coach Jenny Rowland
