Konnor and Amari may be pressing to be the hammers that Haleigh and Aleah were for the past few years. They just need to be themselves.

I definitely think Amari’s pressing on floor. Today was a good comeback for her on vault. Jay made a judgement call on Konnor for floor to let her go out today as her first routine of the season. Personally, I think we should’ve waited another week until we were back at home on our own spring year soft floor, where she could’ve anchored the lineup to close the meet today as a way to debut her floor routine instead of Georgia on their harder floor that’s statistically over the past decade been known to have them and opposing teams walk away from that meatwith a higher number of Achilles tears than any other arena in the country
They were on the road I believe. That just means we can score even higher than that at Mizzou and OU if we stick our vaults against them

Floor will be fine but it’s really weird that was a black eye today when it’s been LSUs bread and butter for years

I love Konnor but I think we might’ve put her back out there on floor a bit too soon, especially with Kylie in the wings who likely could’ve gone instead
It happens, unfortunately it’s always AT Georgia that it happens for us as they historically have one of the worst lit arenas with the hardest floor which leads to the highest rate of achilles tears for visiting teams
That’s not another judge. Thats the score holder. The 2 judges on each event sit opposite the apparatus from each other
One of the good things that came out of G and Court coming in
As long as we keep hitting well on beam and they keep having small mistakes, we can chip away at their lead slowly and win this one
Also we don’t even need this score/result to win the natty
It has all the difficulty it needs. If they don’t like it, they need to get their heads out of their asses and start judging the skills rather than the choreography IMHO
Meet isn’t over until both teams do beam. Thats always been Jay’s philosophy

ETA: like I said
They’re probably waiting until Innes is ready with her 1.5 to put her on vault so she doesn’t get the twisties
Zoe is still recovering from surgery from the preseason so IF we see her, it likely won’t be until post season.
The only places as bad as Florida when it comes to home scoring are:
Oklahoma
Utah
UCLA

in that order
There’s probably a reason the coaches don’t have her in tonight. I don’t know why. You’ll have to ask them

Why put Kathryn in on the road?

Give her experience and rest Courtney before we go home since her body is older than everyone else and she took a year off
They entered in the wrong score for that vault. The one right after it was a 9.775 and they accidentally put it in twice. With how long it’s been taking to put the scores into the system this season so far, it makes sense that that happened
Technically Courtney did. Had she not hit, Konnor’s routine wouldn’t have mattered as much. CB got us back on track FOR Konnor
Jay has always had the mindset of scores over wins with the way rankings work. Yes sticks lead to higher scores but if you focus on sticks too early rather than the technique and hitting the routines to build confidence, it’s harder to do both later in the season when it matters most
