But what really “grinds my gears” is the fact that so many people get on here and act like they know recruiting. They read recruiting reporting sites like rivals, tigerdroppings.com, scout and espn ect. and get on here and regurgitate the info they’ve read, event to the point of doing player profiles. Give me a break. most of the folks on here couldn’t carry the water to the players they are talking about yet they act and write like they are the experts in the recruiting filed. How hard is it to look at these above mentioned sites and put together a wish list for LSU? Or better look at the remaining scollies available and cherry pick the recruits you want based on * ratings or scout rankings…yea that makes you an expert.
Karl you really are a douchbag. I hope you are reported and banned from this site for the mockery you create. No need for your BS.
Also, most of these 'experts' you are mocking have never stated or asked to be considered as such. Over the course of time, their posts become more reputable and the members see it and ask their opinion on certain situations.
It is also very easy to see the guys that directly 'regurgitate' information like you are saying and the few that evaluate based on their own standards and observations. It would not surprise me if a few posters on this board can evaluate talent just as well, if not better, than the guys at Rivals and Scout. If we were given the opportunity to see recruits first hand in action, their would be no doubt in my mind.
You constantly argue about certain recruits and then about * rankings, yet all available information (whether current or historical) completely contradicts your nonsense. You consistently bring topics back to light when they otherwise would not discussed (loston in this thread).

Isn't that one of the greatest achievents in human history??? The fact that information can be written, and then read by someone else. The assimilation of many sources by one person, who then uses his own experiences and abilities to come to some additional conclusion or suggestion is the basis of ALL human learning and expansion of knowledge.
Do you believe that Einstein is LESS brilliant because he built on information that was passed on from generations before as well as his own contemporaries? Is an attorney supposed to KNOW all of the laws (or better yet, conjure them out of whole-cloth) every time a client comes into his office? I think it is remarkable that one simply must have the knowledge of the correct BOOK to reference, along with his ability to analyze the particulars of the situation and apply it accordingly.
I am not raising the level of importance of these "recruiting board" posts with the examples. However, they are based on the same process. Someone reads lots of info, gathers additional input, talks to friends, assimilates the data, provides concise info and suggestions / opinions.
I, for one, appreciate the effort very much.

That doesn't mean you get turned on, does it?
I'm getting a bad mental image here.

Dude, don't even respond to that guy. Its best to pretend he doesn't exist. He belongs on the rant, and I have no idea why the admins don't do something about it? But oh well, every site has its guys that need extra attention and love conflict

Don't take what he says seriously. He just likes to get a rise out of people here-and-there. I think he's amusing and I get along with him now. Of course, I had to drop the hammer initially to set the tone.

Now he's just down right obnoxious.
I really wish he would go away, he really doesnt do anything but stir the pot and initiate e-confrontations for kicks or something. The rant is where he belongs with the rest of the clowns.
