I have long held a bad feeling that RR surprises everyone and signs with OU

If it was between USC and LSU, I can see that (McKnight) because of the star-struck nature of jetting off to L.A. and imagining spending your next 4 years there.

But come on. Oklahoma?? If we're going purely on the intangibles, the beauty of the LSU campus, the passion of the fans..hell the FOOD and you think there's anything that can compete in Oklahoma outside of a decent football program?

Who knows. dmitch..where are you?

Bradford is back and they are one of the favorites to return to the NC game.......plus, RR would put up some decent #'s his freshman year w/ that offense and the poor defense in the Big 12.

I was just left wondering why would a visit be "just for the parents"? And I'm torn. Either:

1. He doesn't want to go to bama, and his parents wanted him to do the stand up thing and tell saban to his face, and he wanted have their support when they told the little emperor no...

2. He likes it, and they were leaning "against" so he wanted to show them why that was his decision..

As a parent, I am leaning to the first option. If he LOVED bama, and was leaning towards going there, why would the trip be stated as being "for" the parents, and not for himself??

eta: also, how was it that he would "forget" to put bama in the short list. It's not like they didn't talk about the trip to gumpville, it wasn't some "unknown" or untouched topic in the interview. I seriously think Bama is out...

****crosses fingers and toes while knocking on wood******

If you guys think that this thing will come down to anyone other than LSU and BAMA, you're flat crazy. This has been a LSU/BAMA fight for quite some time - and no amount of wishful thinking, typos, or slanted and biased writing from Tigerbait will change that.

Why would we give a shite WHO it comes down to if LSU gets Randle?
These little stupid moral victories again set Bama fans apart from every other SEC fanbase in terms of stupidity.
Now go hang out on the SEC rant where people give a shite about your opinion.

Not according to every single person that knows a thing about recruiting who is outside of the LSU fan base. Every recruiting expert in the nation from all three major recruiting services are calling it a Bama/LSU battle - with LSU likely being the victor. Can you tell me why it is that LSU fans are the only fans claiming that BAMA doesn't have a shot? Denial much?

First, it wasn't a Tigerbait article it was his local paper in Bastrop. Second, it was a list given by Rueben himself so just deal with it Gump. Lil' Nicky isn't the end-all be-all of recruiting. In case you haven't noticed, we have something a little more special than y'all even had with the #1 class last year. I get that it's hard to take but you have to take it nonetheless.

The article is just from yesterday. Why is it that Bama fans refuse to believe someone might not want to come to Bama?? Me thinks someone may want to look in the denial mirror himself.

I read the article. He didn't forget Bama, they talked about the visit, and the comments seemed lukewarm. "I just tried to enjoy the atmosphere". That's a ringing endorsement. Put in context of last week's events, here's what it sounds like to me:
1.) He had his official at Bama along with his parents last weekend and made up his mind to drop them from contention
2.) He kept Auburn on the list because he still has an official visit scheduled with them
3.) Tennessee is the freshest in his mind because he just met with Kiffin. My guess is that it's a little late for them to get into the mix too seriously
4.) It's an LSU / OU battle with the edge going to LSU

can't someone get in touch with the writer, and get him to clarify if this "short list" is indeed a true "short list" of schools he is still considering, or just some mixed up writing??

Who's in Bastrop??

after reading the article, it sounds like bama is at the the top of the list or off of the list. he's already made his mind up.
the visit was for his parents, unless his parents were visiting
relatives or didn't like the situation, we are screwed.

Little Nicky can't sugar coat the probablilty that Bama has no decent quarterback for at least two years. Nicky ain't gonna be throwing the football.
