I do and it's not just my role as the board optimist.

I think it's the Julio type decision rather then the Mcknight type, but it still keeps crawling in my head. I would have thought that if the decision was to be made yesterday like Dmitch said, it would have leaked by now if it was LSU. I'm staying cautiously optimistic.

I really think he is torn over his decision, however it has been made.

And all this business with people texting and myspacing highschool athletes is just plain weird to me. It's got to creep out these high school athletes too... if I was 18 and some 48 year old man was texting me twice a day telling me "we'd love to have you," I would want to go to Alabama too!

This is true. But I have news for you. Every fanbase has crazies like that. Tigerdroppings.com should sponsor a training program on how not to creep out recruits (which should be common sense--DON'T CONTACT THEM OR STALK THEM!).

and likely not going to be all that productive in his time at LSU (if he comes).

I don't know all about that. LSU is blessed with several great players at the skill positions but having the best WR in his class never hurts. Defenses need to account for a kid of RR's talent on every play, which means they cannot double the other WR(s) or devote a full 8 men to the box. It's true that if RR chooses to go elsewhere, LSU will be fine and will compete for SEC and the occasional MNC. But there's also little doubt that RR will make the LSU Tigers a better football team with him than without him.

I do think that people need to keep some perspective. Especially with WRs. For every 5 star stud like Julio Jones, there are busts or guys who haven't lived up to the hype (e.g., I haven't been all that impressed with Terrance Toliver).

DMITCH did say he would encourage RR to keep it quiet until Wednesday because leaks would occur.

Not sure what to think!

LSU has not has a productive receiver since Josh Reed? The difference is, Josh Reed was the premier receiver by far in his squad, followed by Michael Clayton as a freshman.

LSU stacks super-talented receivers every year. the problems ussually aren't the receivers at all, but if there is one, the QB.

Also, Tolliver has not been super-productive yet. But his time is here now. That is how it has gone with LSU WR, they play, learn, then break out junior and senior seasons. He is going to be something next year, especially deep.

Throw RR in there as another deep type threat and big body, and Lafell as the superspeed slot guy (who is not too small himself), it is just pick your poison.

Now think of the way Jefferson finished, especially deep balls. If he has RR and TT deep, Lafell cutting across, Throw in Harvin like acceleration at QB, wild cat, slot or whatever in Shep. I dont even think you need a great running attack. But we'll do have one.

On the upside, this is a '08 UF type arsenal of weapons. That being said, we have to play UF, who has an '08 UF type arsenal with a ridiculous amount of player returning, especially after a NC, and bama who is reloading again and wont even have a full team of saban recruits.

Sorry for the rant guys, but God I love the SEC. God I love the Tigers. How many months until kickoff?
