I see to may people in here saying that don't want him and that's just blasphemous. You don't turn away that type of talent. He's 18 years old for crying out loud. He can possibly mature and these new coaches clearly think they can help with that. you ABSOLUTELY take him

I know hes supposed to be a great player in all, but those 2 interviews were very difficult to watch. It seemed to be nothing but self absorbed and possibly a grade risk

I hope he does football better than he speaks. He sounds like a crack head. I also hope we can depend on him if he does indeed committ.

geez. that was a rough interview. If that were at the NFL combine, it would drop him a few rounds.

It’s a catch 22 he is a special player and I know NIL is important to players but having someone in the locker room boasting about what they get, telling other players they stupid for not catching another bag, more worried about money than hard work, etc etc just seems like it possibly could be a bad fit.I think his visit and coach Kelly talking with him and really getting to know him will be a big deciding factor on if they really want him cause I imagine Kelly will let the NIL people know one way or the other behind the scenes

Leaving smarts and grades risk out of it...

This is a very common issue with recruits. It is sort of supposed to be that way. Goes with the territory type thing and this recruiting thing is supposed to be special for special recruits.

Now, having said that, when that recruit becomes a player things change. And the player is supposed to change also. Not just the things around him. It is supposed to shift for all involved.

It is the coach's job to make that happen. For these extremely talented players the coach has to get (i.e. force) buy in.

For some players it is impossible. Some coaches just can't do it or ignore that aspect.

So what I'm saying is you can't necessarily judge the player by the recruit... attitude wise. In a way it is supposed to be that way. It's their time to shine. And then the shine wears off. If the coaches see he will be a "forever recruit", then we have an issue.

ETA: yes, it is annoying as hell. These recruits haven't had the experience of failure in many cases. We have. Therefore we see it as annoying; kids always learn the hard way and that will never change.

That was what I thought. You can be disgusted with Ray Lewis for killing that dude, but you can’t question his leadership or effort. You can tell in that interview Jimbo os put the picture. FU is in driver seat, we get the last shot. Hopefully MR Nola Uncle can convince him to come home!

That interview was terrible! Don’t sell you are cleaning up the culture and being that dude in. LSU can bring in the best caliber athlete but character has to count.
That’s the kind of athlete that has burned LSU over the last couple years.

Tbh he seems to be playing hard to get with LSU or trying to hide his true intentions so he can make some noise when he picks. It’s like the girl you really like but don’t want her to know just how much you like her, so you play it cool, date her friend and flirt with some other pretty girls around. When the times right, you ask her to be the one and only lol. At least that’s my take lol.
