it sounds like he might just be the #1 player or pretty damn close to it. sounds like he's been beastly at the practices so far. although i find it interesting that him getting bitched by a LB has gotten almost zero mention

I guess it's the style of offense we play, but I'd rather have Fluker than Shepard.

Give me Fluker, Massie, and Moses and I don't give a frick who our skill players are.

Moses

Essentially no chance, wants to play as a freshman and UA wants to redshirt him, little to no interest in Bama now

Well, we did make the cut, but I don't expect him to sign.

Fluker and Massie, however, would make fine bookends(tackles).

having 3 OT's of that quality would be almost criminal anyway. saban has really done an excellent job of recruiting quality OL, something he always struggled with at LSU

That is something that worried me from reading some posts here. It is apparent now that he is doing much better on the OL than before. Pendry is also an excellent coach and I am confident we will continue to have one of the best lines in the country (though not necessarily next year).

Explain.

Do you think our offense would benefit from an option QB or a fantastic lineman?

You'll see how important a QB is next year. LSU had one of the best O-lines and stable of running backs in the nation this year. That did a lot of good without a QB. Bama's turn in 09.

Actually, I was too, his delivery was different but it echoes my sentiments exactly.

Yeah, having a heralded offensive line worked wonders for us this year.

Fluker has some skills on the dance floor

LINK

In any case, I think that McCarron is a better fit for our offense at this point than Shepard. We line up in the I and run it or throw a slant to Julio.

No offense, but if you look at Shepard's passing stats, there's nothing that really stands out. His strength is in a spread option offense, and that's not something we run.

Not really. I admire Shepard's leadership and character but to be quite honest I think his talents would be poorly used on our team. It's the same situation with Jones. Had he gone to Oklahoma he would have destroyed everyone. He just run blocks 65% of the time.
