I’m pretty sure that Texas offer was influenced by the stroke of Jim Bob Moffett. Dude donated gazillions to UT, even has buildings named after him

What is "CB'ed"? The context obviously tells me "committed," but i can't figure out the damn "B" ….

It's been bugging me for awhile.

Crystal Ball on 247. When the experts make their predictions they put in a crystal ball.

Well Hell, then it wasn't even "committed."

I'll go back to my day job.

BTW, I added stages to a park on the river, drew social distancing circles and have been having outdoor concerts. Mostly cover bands, but I did squeeze in Papa John Gros and the Iguanas in November.

Stay Safe.

Okay, state which one of our current QB's is going to be willing to accept a backup QB job for the next 3 yrs??

You said none were backups not that they'd be willing to be one.

Cream rises to the top, they're not all QB 1

Guys this guy is legit. His junior year video is impressive. He'll compete and be in the mix. Great feet, improv ability to extend plays, goes through progression, touch and accuracy.

Well he committed to Texas so it doesn't matter now.

Probably a good decision for him. After next year, he'll likely be 2nd string to Hudson Card. Here he'd be 4th string if Finley stays and with Howard on board.

Why the hell would we waste a scholly on this kid when were 5 deep with studs at QB. This is stupid! He will never see the field

Finley has had little to no QB coaching his entire high school career . He has barley scratched the surface, on the other hand Max and Nuss were born into it . Let’s see who has reached their full potential, Finley has will be a better pro then anyone in the room , he has what you cannot teach height, size, arm strength plus he is much smarter then given credit .

Damm I wanted this kid don't care if we are loaded at QB. Just glad he will be at Texas and not the SEC.

He is better than most think he is.

That being said the chances some 3 star kid is going to come in here and outplay 4 four star recruits is almost 0.00%, so the kid would need to accept being a backup here.

And there it is. This right here is why normal people stay away from here and want nothing to do with you pathetic stars masturbators.

This dude may not ever take a college snap or he may win the Heisman Trophy—I have no idea. His star ranking without going to camps and playing a senior season, though, will have absolutely zero to do with it. We know how good Sark is, and we think we know how good Peetz is. The fact that those 2 guys identified this dude as someone they wanted says way more than what a bunch of nerds following 16-year-olds around playing 7 on 7 arbitrarily ranked him.

Joe Burrow's highest rating by Rival, Hudl and 24/7 coming out of high school was a 3 star. Did we waste a scholarship on Joe?

Joe Burrow was a 4 star on 247, and a 4 star in the 247 composite rankings, which is what most go by.

If sark loved him so much why didn't he give him a scholarship?

He only has 3 qbs on the roster

I'm surprised lsu was actually going to give the kid a scholly.

He’s the kinda guy that just needs a shot to prove himself... I like what I see from him. I don’t think everyone in California acts like they’re from Berkeley. Come on, Austin’s not even Texas, who wants to go there!!

That link says Eli was unranked. That's a lie. He was like number 15 per rivals.

I wouldn't doubt it if Sark gets Ewers back in the mix as well

True, Finley has the best arm and size of anyone, but he is also slow as molasses and repeats the same boneheaded mistakes.

Other than size and arm, his QB intelligence is highly questionable, and his mobility is very poor to be a starting SEC QB. There are other places he might be a starter, but I can't ever see it being at LSU unless we have multiple QB's out due to injury.
