As if Lane would directly text their players giving them evidence of tampering that those who stay could use against him
I don’t understand the impulse to blame LSU or Kiffin for assistant coaches and players making their own decisions to go elsewhere. Nobody is forcing anything on these players here.

The rational approach when people are leaving you is to look in the mirror and ask “why, what can I do to make my program more desirable so people don’t want to leave, how can I improve.”

While that makes some sense, the Empire at this point has already murdered all the Jedi and wiped out the Wookie planet so it seems like they are being too cautious.

They are being cautious until the Death Star is finished to keep the empire “united” against a common foe. Once the Death Star is complete, they don’t need that illusion anymore. Fear and power is enough.

People are forgetting this. The Athletic Department isn’t like a private corporation designed to make the most profit for their shareholders simply to increase their wealth. They have to manage all sports.

The only one on that list I’ve seen is Love,Simon. I did really enjoy that one.

Somehow I’ve never watched Brokeback Mountain lol.

You guys are seriously overestimating this

Not estimating anything. Just giving my personal opinion on the show.

There's plenty of objectively good gay content out there; Heated Rivalry is not one of them

Eh... They’ve gotten better recently, but it’s still rare to find a good show with a gay main character. They end up being portrayed like a caricature.

Heated Rivalry didn’t do that and is hands down the best “gay show” I’ve ever watched.

The Coast Guard is allegedly building three but who knows if or when we’ll ever see them. I think Bollinger has the contract.

Yeah it was just in the news. Building them in Houma.

quote:

Bollinger Shipyards has finalized a $2.1 billion contract with the U.S. Department of Homeland Security — first announced last fall — to produce four new Arctic Security Cutters for the U.S. Coast Guard.

The vessels, which will be built at Bollinger's Houma shipyard, will be capable of breaking through 4 feet of ice, traveling more than halfway around the globe and remaining at sea for two months at a time.

quote:

Bollinger’s first cutter is expected to take just over two years from its first welds to its final tests. Once assembly of the first vessel is underway, Bollinger will be able to have multiple boats under construction at the same time at the same shipyard, company spokesperson TJ Tatum said.

The first vessel is scheduled to roll off the production line in 2028. But it will spend the next year in the water — first at the dock, where subcontractors will bring the vessels up to U.S. government specifications by adding specialized communication equipment, any weaponry and other technology.

Starting qb for the Saints will be making $2.7 for next couple of years. If Simpson was offered $6.5 million to play another year against college kids, it’s a very dumb move, financially, to go pro.

He wasn’t a first round pick.
The salaries from the 2025 first round picks range from $12.2M (1st pick) to $3.6M (32nd pick).

He’s currently projected as the #3-4 QB in the class so he’ll likely get drafted before the mid-20s and be making at least close to $5M a year. It’s not worth the injury risk to come back in that scenario.

Dumb move by him. He’s not NFL ready and passed up easy money to be a legit Heisman contender next season with the canes.

He is going to be drafted in the first round. When you get that feedback from the NFL, 99% of the time you should go. Especially for him this year with a weak QB class.

Need to also make it to where Bowl Games don’t count towards redshirt games

Pretty sure that’s already the rule as of a couple years ago.
LSU has shortened “accelerated sessions” which is what Jayden did so he could participate in spring ball.
quote:

Daniels is slated to arrive in Baton Rouge on March 14th, while the rest of the students are on spring break. That will give him a chance to enroll in what LSU calls an “accelerated session.”

Classes for the second spring “accelerated session” will begin on March 21st and final exams are held on May 7th and 9th. To participate in spring ball, a student must be enrolled in classes.

Not considering the amount of money involved, but how is this situation any different than Demonds? Meaning…where is all the outrage?? Dude signed a contract, right?

I think so, but not 100% certain. I believe Season 1 took a little from several books, not just the one titled “Heated Rivalry.” The Kip/Scott episode for example was taken from one of the other books.

I think they said season 1 was more about their internal struggles while season 2 is more external. Makes sense given how season 1 ended.
What ole Miss does here really doesn’t matter. At the end of the day, we made a huge upgrade at head coach.

If this final 4 is any indication, it’s brought some parity to the sport at least.

Same. I didn’t believe it at first. I was totally convinced he was actually Russian lol
quote:

Why have any contracts at all, in any field, for any reason, if the parties cannot be held to them?

Parties can be held to them, but only when the provisions in said contract are not contrary to law. Take the rumored liquidated damages portion of this contract that is “solely in the discretion of Washington” as to the amount. No chance that survives if challenged. They can’t just make up a number. They have to back it up.

Contract law also says when a provision is ambiguous, it is generally interpreted most favorable to the party who didn’t draft the agreement.
