We have a pair of 6'6" JUCO RHPs who are coming in this class also:

Brett Bruening (Grayson County College) averaging 10.67 Ks per 9 innings so far this season.

And

Mitchell Mormann (Des Moines Area CC) with a 1.20 ERA in 15 innings and a .132 BA against.

I've seen the Middleton kid play numerous times this year, Goood ball player on a very good Parkview team. Seems to be a mental midget at times.

Half that list will be selected in the top 10 rounds of the draft. It's not a science, so you will have guys slip through the cracks and have others stock skyrocket even in May.

Von Ronsenberg will be at LSU unless he is selected in the top 5 rounds. He as well as his family know the benefits of a college education. Yes, even though money will be thrown in his face I think Mainieri will put the full court press on this kid.

Slade Heathcott is an Alfac All-American from TX who is one of the top multi position players in this years draft (OF/P). He's a lefty reminds me of the build to Drew Cumberland 07, the only kid that got away in that massive class. If for any reason Mitchell and Dean go pro, he may see an oppurtunity for playing time in college. Still no read on what he will do yet.

After the draft, what is an estimate of our class ranking?

Raunado is pretty special we haven't had someone with that kind of stuff in years. I don't know where his ranking was in high school but I know he was thought of as a top guy. He could have gone pro out of high school and a high draft pick if he wanted too. I find it hard to give a high school kid that much credit right now.

+1. Ranaudo was an eleventh round pick even though he was adamant about wanting to attend LSU. Much like JM or CJ he would most likely have been drafted much higher had he not made his strong preference for attending college known. At any rate he has big-league stuff now and barring something unforseen will pitch in the "Show" some day in the not-to-distant future.
