I mean... Indiana had 7 starters, 1 rotatational EDGE (who basically split snaps evenly with the starter), and 2 rotational iDL who transferred in this year, plus a RB who appeared to be in a relatively even timeshare before going out for the season in week 3 and a WR who was a presumptive starter before tearing his ACL in spring camp.
Here are some stats from IU's 2025 transfers:
- QB: 3535 pass yds / 41 pass TD / Heisman winner
- RB: 1120 rush yds / 7 TD
- DE: 38 tot tackles / 19.0 TFL (led conference) / 5.5 sacks
- S: 88 tot tackles / 6 INT (led conference)
- C: 16 starts / 1027 snaps / 0 sacks allowed / 2 penalties / 2nd-team All-B1G / Rose Bowl MVP
- Nickel: 59 tot tackles / 6.0 TFL / 2 INT
- EDGE (in 7g): 27 tot tackles / 8.0 TFL / 2.5 sacks
- TE: 32 catches / 387 rec yds / 4 TD
- rotational iDLs (two guys, 7 combined starts): 44 tot tackles / 9.0 TFL / 1.5 sacks
LSU, if we do indeed add both Seaton and Princewill, will be in the same general ballpark. The only real reason we're likely to exceed IU's number of starters is because we have to replace a full complement of starting WRs.
