Most fans aren't savvy enough to understand just how deep politics runs in all things Louisiana.
My source told me that Landry wanted Kiffin back before Woody got us BK and Landry had it out for Woody ever since. When it all went down, Landry saw blood in the water, and pounced. Now that Landry has his guy in the HC spot, he's back to meddling in other shite. Politics 101

Yep, Politics and LSU football has always run deep. Landry might "talk funny" to people outside of Louisiana, but he's no dummy; to get onboard to help LSU and increase his popularity for re-election is a win/win.

If this is true, woodward should’ve never been hired. That partisan fat piece of shite set us back a half decade. What were we thinking hiring that guy? Oh he hired an overpaid washed up boomer coach at A&M; but he definitely won’t do that again!
Lane is a MAGA man and troll, and Woodward just couldn’t bite his tongue enough to hire him. He was just too beta.

I dont ever remember reading that. I remember a politician doing self serving grand standing. I saw that with my own eyes.
