Apologies. If you have signs then they should by all means respect it. I shouldn't have attached this to you, but I personally hate to see the decline in people getting to know their neighbors. It crosses over into the thread on how kids could be left to roam the neighborhood untethered to play ball and have fun. Neighbors knew each other and watched out for each others kids and property for bad guys or fires, etc. Again I apologize.

No apologies needed, and I agree with you 100%. My current neighborhood is 180 from the one in my childhood, the community aspect is nonexistent now.

I guess the day of neighborliness is out the window. Bless you if you home has an attic or garage fire.

My home is my sanctuary. I have a sign out front asking not to solicit at my home. You come to my home uninvited, disregard the sign, piss off the dogs, wake up the baby, we now have problems because your audacity to peddle your bullshite at my front door.

I understand it’s someone’s job, but they also need to understand why homeowners get short with them when they knock and ring the doorbell unsolicited.

You come to my home unsolicited peddling your BS/ “following up” and disturbing the peace in the home, there is 100% chance I will never use your business

AI and robots will replace PAs, NPs, PRNs, RNs before MDs. Right now, PAs and NPs are seeing people for MDs, that can be replaced by a Kiosk. Nursing shortages will be a thing of the past with 24/7 robotics.

Maybe one day… won’t happen in your lifetime and likely not your children’s as well.

Elons robots are going to gut the entire medical field.

People outside of medical have zero clue of the logistic challenges.

And that’s not even in the emergent setting where seconds and minutes count.

Medical/Billing/Coding….sure but practitioners especially in emergent/critical setting are not going anywhere.

I don’t think it is safe to assume that certain trade skills can’t be replaced by robots/AI. With what they are doing with Robots especially, welders could eventually be a “fleet” of robots that will be controlled by a few humans. There probably are not too many jobs that can’t be replaced by a humanoid robot eventually. . Safer, cheaper, reduced HR costs.

AI and Robot welders are already being utilized in automotive factories welding parts and AI checking the quality of the welds.

Kids nowadays are being pushed towards the trades. Welding, HVAC, plumbing, etc and healthcare.

There's gonna be a glut of those people soon and they won't be making nearly as much as the ones today. In ten years welders will be a dime a dozen. (i didn't say good welders)

I would not be so sure, many kids today are soft and it takes the right mindset and personality to work in the heat, an attic or septic tanks.

7 year old grandson expressing interest in nursing.I’m talking up becoming
echocardiogram technician.Much better job,IMO.Decent pay, don’t work nights, weekends or holidays( would be on rotating call).Don’t have to deal with bedpans, diarrhea and all the other unpleasntries nurses have to deal with.

Echo Tech is a great gig for all the points mentioned, I have pushed Echo/Sono, and Rad Tech to my family members as well.

Major drawback compared to nursing is the job change availability and/or advancement. As you know if he gets tired of one specialty he can choose another and opportunities are nearly endless, plus he could also go back for NP, CRNA, or go into Administration which has the protentional to earn more than NP and CRNA.
They got an education at Band Camp, that’s for sure…

Lived and Two blocks away from campus, while it’s an affluent and generally safe area, 4-5 blocks away you have hood activity. Culture rich individuals walk the area to seek out opportunities for a pay day. Car jacking and sexual assaults happened when I was in school, I’d be more concerned if it was your daughter. He just needs to be aware, especially at night walking from bars.

Is Friar Tucks still a local spot ? :pimp:

My ex wife worked at one, years ago and what you said is very true. I actually laughed a little while reading because I've seen that first hand.

But I will say the one I seen in the office helped me, with my neck.

Absolutely, personally I would try anything and everything before having spine surgery, I do think they have a place.

I briefly dated one, so yes…

She boasted how the majority of the profession is a money grab through maximizing billing, unneeded tests, and weeks of treatment to “stabilize the spine”.

She’s is now a “Doctor “ despite never writing a thesis, going to medical school and also have unlimited opportunities to pass the board exam.

Becuase for starters,,,,Chiropractic care was founded Daniel David Palmer, a magnetic healer who claimed the technique was revealed to him by a ghost. After "adjusting" a janitor’s spine to "cure" his deafness, Palmer believed he could treat 95% of diseases by aligning vertebrae, which he called the "Law of the Nerve.
