I guess you're oblivious to what was being reported before he even went into the portal? He was planning to leave LSU with the thought we were getting Lacy. He signed with Ole Miss, so then Durham signed with LSU.

There are still hundreds of players in the portal, maybe thousands.
Maybe they're not good enough for a starting P4 line, but tampering with another team's roster has to carry some kind of penalty.

LSU would lose Durham if this happened for sure. Only reason he came back was because they didn't snag Lacy. That was pretty much what his return was based on, which is why it was quiet until he signed back.
