I'm excited for that RB from Wisconsin LSU got. Reports have been he's been running with the 1s. His film was impressive and I was a little shocked he wasn't rated higher coming out of the portal. I think he was hurt all last year and that basically killed his evaluation. LSU may have got a steal on that guy like Kiffin got a steal on Lacy. Not saying he'll be that good but this guy will probably surprise.
What do you not understand? LSU had a top ranked HS and portal class. Do you think LSU got them free? Why's it so hard to understand that LSU missed on evaluations and it has nothing to do with money? Jay has told you multiple times already he screwed up here. Is it not obvious at this point?
You people are clueless on the differences between rev share and NIL. Rev share does not contribute to the talent on the roster like you think it does. It's small compared to something like NIL. That's not why this team sucks. LSU was snagging top guys out of the portal. They whiffed on evaluations and part of that is on Jay. He said as much. He even admitted without naming players like Bide he screwed up banking on him as catcher and other roster evaluations with who he already had.
Jay's press conference told you last night this team is not that talented. It's on him because he messed up roster evaluations. It's not just that they whiffed on everyone in the portal, they whiffed hard on the current roster before those guys too. He banked on guys like Bide to be his catcher.
It's as if bad play is like cancer it spreads to everyone no matter how good they are. That's why it's a team sport.
Good news is LSU will probably have 2 next year in Schmidt and Evans. Moore's injury is definitely not helping this team right now. That's a pretty big injury people are forgetting. He was pretty stable as the day 2 guy and Schmidt at day 3 was kinda unfair.
You consistently make the dumbest posts I've seen on here. I really hope you're not like how you post irl for your sake.
Never seen anyone in local media with such an arrogant, "I told you so tone" when more often than not he's wrong about something. He'll be sure to also let you know when he's right which isn't very often. He's one of the worst local media personalities. I honestly don't know how people listen to him and take especially with how much he whores out to local sponsors. Everything about him seems scummy. Like, we get it you need sponsors but it just feels different when he does it.
I mean, is it surprising looking at the old staff at how incompetent they were? I also think it likely had to do he's not huge for a G though 305 is more than adequate.
I see this every year. yes, on paper they should be. we'll have to wait and see though.

I don't think Milam or Brown is coming back. Curiel very small chance since he can still use leverage if he comes back next year. Highly unlikely though. This team is going to need to hit a homerun in the portal. Only way Milam comes back is if he just loves the college game and gets a nice paycheck. All his leverage is gone but I also don't see him being highly projectable in MLB due to his size and bat.

Moore's injury is killing this team right now. People say Jay didn't have enough time in the portal this past season and that might be somewhat true but what is also true is this portal was kinda weak compared to previous years.
I said this in another thread wake me up when it's like this in late fall. If it's like this 2 weeks before Clemson game the panic button is on.

Until then, no. Nobody should expect all this chemistry to come together fast when you return 3 players on offense. Kiffin even said in a press conference days before that scrimmage they're a defensive team right now. He saw it and knew it lol.
I still think the funniest thing I ever saw related to this guy was when Mulkey in a press conference basically told him to sit down and he did it exactly like a toddler would do. It was funny at how Mulkey put that guy in his place.
This is a big injury because we already lost a big contributor that was a likely starter. Aidan was apparently tearing it up and now he's done. That's one position we can't really sustain injuries with.
The offense so far based on media reports is it has been an absolute mess which is to be expected when you retain like 3 players total on offense. Kiffin even said it other day we're a defensive team right now. These 2 I haven't seen much on. No need to panic right now but if it's still like this come late fall I'm going to be worried.
Weren't you praising Vitello last week and how set Tenn is for years due to him and LSU dragged their nuts all over that team?
that ball just decided to sail
I would say this team isn't that talented depth wise is the issue. In years past if we had struggles we can just cycle people out and someone would come in clutch or get hot. This team's large problem is they whiffed in the portal and so this just trickles on every other player. Everyone is pressing. Then you have pitching who are mentally in the ringer because they know their defense is terrible plus you have injuries like Moore which is a huge injury. This team is just bad at every facet of the game. It will get cleaned up next year and if we get lucky, maybe they make a second half run figuring things out.
Moore injury is killing this team right now. Really could use a combination of Moore, Evans, and Schmidt.

I'd say Brown and Milam are almost for sure gone and Curiel likely as well but he at least still has leverage to stay. Curiel MIGHT come back but I doubt it. He will be only a junior so he can do another year if he wants it.
There's no such thing as a couple year rebuild in portal era.
