Dutchtown is a strange district. It goes all the way out to Galvez and gets to the river. There's a real difference between the Prairieville Middle kids and the Dutchtown Middle kids.

Fortunately, there will probably be a Prairieville High School in the next five years and all the Alabama trash will stay at Dutchtown.

You guys are insane. The reason Eddie is at Bama is LSU did not offer him. And as for Landon, I was told he went to a camp a couple of years ago and fell in love with Bama. I can promise you Eric Reid is the one Dtown is most proud of, even though we love Eddie, Eric is the one people root for. Black and white alike

And Eddie was not offered because he was a lousy student. And a certain segment of the DTHS student body and community took that as a slap in the face. And I'm not necessarily separating it between black and white there.

Wasn't just dtown. The LSU fan base as a whole did, hell I wanted Eddie to go to the tigers, but he has never said he was from New Orleans and not Geismar. He wasn't really a lousy student, just lazy , like there is a difference. He is a very likeable kid and has done things for Dtown when asked to.

I never got a straight story about that. I know he was "involved" with some sort of situation. I asked at the time and got all sorts of stories. I really can't say what it was. I do know it was some sort of poor judgement on his part. But I don't think it was rape, that is the most common thing I heard about the situation. I'm not defending him, just what I heard. I do know that for all of his supposed lack of character, he has stayed clean at Bama.

No you are insane if you think the community and families of the majority of the young black youth in Geismar doesn't have a bone to pick with LSU.

I'm not trying to trash Reid Lacey or Collins. I'm saying that I saw pleasure in the fact that LSU lost. It's more of an anti-LSU thing.

I'm talking about the black community in Geismar. Most can not stand LSU it seems. It's a JJ, Southern thing.

You can say that about a lot of black communities with Southern alum. They don't give a shite about LSU but I promise you if LSU comes knocking on their door with a scholorship for their son or daughter they'll listen.

To be fair, a majority of the people that call Geismar home are black. There is newer development in the area but overall Geismar is a black community. Most of the white kids live in Prairieville/Galvez/Gonzales.

How are you so in tune with the black community in Geismar?

I for one don't claim to be in touch with the "black community" in Geismar. I know you weren't responding to me. But I am in touch with the football program at Dtown. I was talking to a freshman football player a few weeks ago and we were talking about all of the kids playing football in college from dtown. I asked him if he knew what it was like at Tiger stadium on game day and he couldn't even imagine what I was talking about. I think this is the problem, these kids don't have a clue. They didn't grow up wanting to run out of that tunnel and hear the crowd in Tiger stadium roar. This young man will be a good prospect in the future IF he gets his head screwed on straight. He doesn't realize how important his grades this year are and they will impact his future in recruiting. I hope he has a chance because he is going to be a good one. That is my view on the situation.

Lol, yeah we all saw that Geismar love for Bama when a New Orleans native recently committed to Bama in front of his family.

The best football players come from shitholes. Dutchtown hasn't been undefeated two seasons in a row because of the kids who live in Quail Creek.
