kid from Evangel would be hard pressed to ever see the field at LSU. Reed is a superior athlete, just look at what he's doing at the AAA bowl.

My dream pick up would be Trovon Reed and James Wright. However, I honestly feel like we really only have a good chance at picking up Wright. Our chances of picking up Reed seem about as good as our chances of picking up Fobbs. Not being a Debbie Downer- it just seems like that is what's going on. With all that being said, I still have faith in the fact that this class will finish strong.

I saw Trovon play in 2008. He was absolutely amazing. There is a reason he is the number one ranked player in the state - he is that good. He also has a great attitude. Maybe the best player ever to come out of Thibodaux, I hope he changes his mind and stays in Louisiana.

I dont see how you can say Reed is that much better than Thomas.. Ive seen both live, on tv, and on films we all watch. Reed, is more versitle, seeing he's playing some Secondary, but Thomas was one of the 3 best players in the Dome that weekend..Therefore, what separates the two besides one went to AA combines and was rewarded for that by being top 100?..

No program wins the NC every year. Just ask Tim Tebow and Depressed Florida Fans. And look at the delusional Gumps, now they are going to win the SEC and NC's every year now that God Saban is there. We thought we would do the same in 2007. All programs come down then go back up. With some key additions we can win another NC in 2 years. And then we would wonder what all the concern was about. Just look at the Dallas Cowboys, 3 weeks ago they were imploding, now folks are saying they are the hottest team in the NFL. Go figure.

Neville's Burch and freshman WR/CB, West Monroe's Paul Turner were the top 3 players in the Dome. I watched all 5 games.

That can change very easily with Gonzales involved.

I completely disagree. He was a step above the skill players on the field in their game, but is not a top level SEC player. Reed has tons more athleticism and ability.

In the same article Trovon also said this:

“Coach Gus Malzahn is just crazy. He has never had under 500 yards a game yet, so I just feel like that I could just hop right in. Plus they need a little help at receiver, so I just feel like I can come right in and (play right away).”

So, in other words, they're lying to him.

well he was at the LSU/Aub game.

at least he was being honest with his reasons about the big WR as apposed to the smaller ones.

Look at the guys that we have shown interest this year. Shep is no taller than 6', Fobbs is 5'11, and Landry (when we get him) is also 5'11. I think that he feels like we wouldn't use him properly. I think that BG may effect the plays called just a little. I hope.

On Scout, Trovon said that it would take a coaching change at Auburn (Trooper or Malzhan leaving) for him to switch his commitment to LSU.

He was easily one of the top three guys in those games. He dominated Curtis. Even dropped a couple passes and fumbled.. Im not debating Reed isnt a better all around athlete, he can play multiple positions it seems, and i give him edge there...

His offer list means nothing...There could be lots of reasons with this kid i dont know about, im not a Evangel insider....

further illustrates why he's not on Reed's level and sure as shite was not one of the three best players. The Neville kid is better as a frosh. Turner from WM stood out more as well
