the inexperienced guys were a little awestruck playing at West Monroe.

That's one thing that hasn't been mentioned. Leesville deserves alot of credit for hanging in there when things started so badly for them. It was 14-0 before everyone even got seated. Leesville had negative yards and were just getting blown up. But they withstood it and starting making a few plays before the half. That's pretty good resilience.

That's coaching, I told you your coach needs some help. You said he don't need any advice from me.

Leesville had some big athletic WR's. I think they could throw it down field this season and be very successful.

Lol, "walked down" on the 7 yard line after an 85 yard run by one of the top 5 fastest football players in the state. That's rich.

Obviously you weren't there and didn't watch Glynn start 20 yards behind Ford.

At an angle. Just messing with you.

Looking forward to watching the film of the game. You can see things differently from the sidelines and up in the pressbox.

Has anyone seen the film from the game yet so that we can put this argument to rest? I personally believe there was maybe a slight angle, because Mingo was trailing him too and Mingo was directly behind Ford straddling the sideline...and Glynn was to the right of Mingo...so there was a slight angle...i don't know if it was enough to make a huge difference.

I watched the film of the run this afternoon. Glynn did indeed have an angle on Ford, and you can see Ford turn and look, which slowed him down. Not taking anything away from Glynn, cause the boy can fly.

What was more impressive was on the fumble return. Mingo just blew past everyone and nearly caught up with the guy who returned the fumble, and he started 25 yards behind him.

Didn't you read my first post?

THIS IS WHERE THE MOST IMPRESSIVE PLAY OF THE NIGHT CAME FROM. MINGO WAS AT SAFETY, ATLEAST 20 YARDS BEHIND THE PLAY WHEN THE BALL WAS FUMBLED. HE RAN PAST EVERYONE AND WALKED IN WITH THE BALL CARRIER FOR THE TOUCHDOWN.

I think Channel 17 in WM will replay the game Tuesday night. Can some Youtube the whole play and post it here? I saw the game and from my perspective it looked like Tyler Glynn ran him down from behind(with no angle) and pushed him out of bounds. And yes, Mingo was closing in fast.

BTW, Tyler Glynn has ran the 100 meter dash in 10.54 seconds, good speed for a high school kid.

Cajun, I think what we're disagreeing on is the last 10-20 yards. Glynn started with an angle, as it would be pretty much impossible not to have an angle when someone is running down the sideline. When someone says he had an angle, I think of running the angle straight to the tackle, which didn't happen. He ran an angle until he got behind him, then ran him down from behind. The game comes on tonight and should be posted afterward. I'll tell you when it's posted.

JJ ... I watched the film yesterday with a very good view. Glynn could not have been behind Ford at any time because Mingo was chasing Ford directly behind him. Are you telling me that Glynn ran over Mingo to get to Ford? Watch the play when you get a chance.

All arguments aside, it was a good game and I think West Monroe will make some noise by playoff time. They are very very physical. Mingo, Glynn, Banks, Abrams and Allen are extremely talented players.
