Forever grateful

Governor Landry did nothing but blow up the early momentum we had in coaching search.
Verge deserves the credit. You deserve another downvote.

The only things politicians do is take credit for others' successes and pawn their own failures off on others, Gov. Waterboy included.

Or the board sent him out to be bombastic so they could operate with precision and not be bombarded with media attention.

While agree with you, Governor Landy's intentions were properly oriented toward what is/was best for LSU so whatever momentum was lost initially was easily overcome. For lack of a better word, Landy seems "aligned" now.

Because y’all hate Landry you won’t open your eyes and see what he actually did.
He 100% cleared away and got this ball rolling.
Did he stay a little too long and run his mouth a little too much and possibly get too deep into the coaching search? Absolutely.
But denying his critical mass as the catalyst is weak on y’all‘s part.

You gotta appreciate his consistency, though.

Who fired Kelly and Woodward?
If I’m not mistaken, i believe that was Governor Jeff Landry who did that, not Verge Ausberry

You are mistaken. Yes.
Woodward fired Kelly.
Woodward fired Kelly.

Everyone who disagrees with all this needs to sit and think real hard about what we have done the last few weeks and then think about Scott Woodward.
Woodward would never hire kiffin in the first place and then even if his hand was forced after the Washington qb situation he would have shut this whole operation down because it was bad PR.

You are right, if Governor Landry never would’ve stepped in, Fat Scott would’ve hired Lane the very next day

None of that mattered. We were always going to end up with LK and he wasn’t coming any sooner. If anything it blew up the media (Dellenger) narrative that no quality coach wanted to come here.

What do you think the impetus for the surge in NIL funding is? It’s not selling more chicken fingers or more auto accidents. It’s the executive office of the state leveraging the state economy to incentivize investment from companies that otherwise wouldn’t really care. Aka tax incentives. The governor is a major reason why Lane came here whether you like him or not.

Who’s to say Landry didn’t get a call from the people that really run the state and made an offer he couldn’t refuse, alignment or primary.
