I'd take him, then let him xfer to a non-SEC school WHEN it doesn't work out. IMO all the high impact guys in this class already signed, I'd use a scholly to ensure if an SEC team catches lightning in a bottle, it's us

I don't really care if we get him because of his loony recruiting games, but he will not be a cancer to the quality guys we have on this team. Actually, I think his Wanda looking arse is stupid and he is being misguided by an even more stupid handler. Our team is built on strong character and the portal door will hit him on the arse before he has any affect on our team.
The guy does need help and direction and it might as well be Coach O and Frank who shape him up, and he has the wheels to run like a deer as the #1 RB out of high school. So, take him and put him in boot camp, and ship up or ship out

Gibbs first choice, I am not sure I would waste a scholly with him

I trust the coaching staff to make decisions, but according to what I’ve read about him there’s no way our coaching staff makes a horrible decision in attempting to sign Evans.

I don’t want him Lester Earl 2.0

Unless something changes drastically (which who the hell knows with this recruitment it very well may) Evans will be at A&M.
OK, you know I have stayed out of this whole VolTiger thing and I still really want to stay out it, but I do have to say a couple things. Then I will go back to watching everyone here melt.
I don't know who you are or whether you really have sources and I don't care one way or another whether you post here or not. But if you go into hiding after some haters are giving you shite, you just CANNOT come back and post something like this and expect different results.
Again, I don't care whether you have sources or are just posting stuff you see on pay sights and here's why...
Even though I don't think you have ever posted info I didn't already know, there are many people here that don't waste the time I do looking up shite, so you are doing them a great service regardless of "source". So even if it is just copied info, I'm sure it has some use to some people, and because of this I hope you stick around. If you truly do have "inside sources", it sure as heck looks suspicious on a day like today.
You have to understand, when you make a comment like you did less than an hour after Shea Dixon from 247 (pay article), along with Wiltfong (pay article), and someone else I already forgot his name (free article), posted 3 separate but similar articles stating they expect Evans to join aTm next week, not to mention 4 recent CBs of Evans to aTm... Then it just looks bad and you should expect backlash. I just hope you don't get offended when people blast you for this because some other people like having you around.
But in the spirit of friendly banter, I'' go out on the limb and risk the naysayers wrath... I guarantee Evans will be at aTm.
Cheers!

Would you actually be upset if we get Evans?
We will he enroll at LSU? Very unlikely.
In the very unlikely even that we do sign him will he be in spring camp? Even less likely.

Lynxcat, just curious if you went to Rhodes College?

1. I can do whatever the hell I want actually, but I appreciate your concern.
2. I'm sure they all are saying the same thing. Its pretty common sense if you know anything about the situation. You're more than welcome to ask Shea or any of the other ones if I subscribe to their site or not. I do not now nor have I ever been on that site, nor have I been on that other site Derek used to run that people like to accuse me of.
3. The reason I left actually had nothing to do with backlash. It mostly had to do with the fact I realized the recruiting board was getting more focused around me than LSU football recruiting, so after talking with some people I've decided to post a lot less and basically only pop in when I have something to say. Not going to give opinions or answer questions in every single thread they're asked in.

When Kelvin Joseph announced he would stay at LSU, every site ran a story on it calling it a big win for LSU and our depth. Vol was adamant that Joseph would be gone from our program. As far as I know, no one else called this. He seemed to have knowledge from someone close to the situation.

Anyone who doesn’t think Vol is connected is an idiot..... or purposely trying to garner attention for whatever reason.
It’s clear he is

Actually that’s not true he wasn’t alone. Posted right after kid went on stage with rappers he was prob gone. He treated the authorities like punks. Kid hung out with the wrong peeps

This board hasn’t been the same without you. I’m happy with anything you’re willing to provide.

I would not be upset if Ed O decides to sign this kid.
Ed O has not given us any reason to doubt his judgment.
Unlike all of us, Ed O knows the ins and outs about this kid.
As for Vol, I don't know how connected he is or not nor do I care. I for one appreciate his input to this site and some of you youngsters who get your panties in a wad over him "missing" on a prediction can kiss my old, tire, worn out arse.
Hell, Ed O was convinced when he went to bed the night before NSD those kids were locks. When we stake our claim on a 18 year old kid we're in sad damn shape. Years ago a person's word meant something. Today it does not. Instant gratification is all most are interested in today.
When I grew up it was the "we" mentality. Today it's the "me" mentality. Some folks need their asses handed to them. Many on this board. Stay off my mother fricking lawn!

Also I know you're ducking down low for the moment, but I am curious about the RB thing. You and 247 thought we had flips set up if Evans got flaky, but that never happened. I'm not calling you out or anything, I'm just curious what the deal was.

He’s not wrong about the timing.

Push came to shove and kids got cold feet. 2 I really thought we'd make a run at were Bijan Robinson and Keyvone Lee, but it just didnt work out. Just like how things got away from the staff on a few at the every end on ESD, it happens unfortunately.
