so you think LSU's offense will look more like the wide open Indiana offense from 12 years ago, or a more pro-style that LSU has been running under Miles and Cameron's been running the NFL for the last decade?
I don't think it's any stretch to say that Auburn will run a more open/spread offense than LSU... and that that style fits Harris better.

I think Hamm deserves all the blame for this incident.
However, I can see how fans can perceive Harris' actions as attention seeking. I'm sure he is a good kid and wish a LA kid the best whether he comes here or not, but the way he phrases things and seems to troll at times comes off like he's grown a bit of an ego.
Not once do you hear the #1 player in the country say that a school has a "chance to land me". Fournette has be handled every interview with nothing but class and he may be an even bigger threat to leave the state.

when you think LSU offense 2013, think Phillip Rivers, not Randle El.

I only stated that Cameron has had success with dual threat QBs. Not every dual threat guy wants to be in Malzahn's system.

It's unfortunate when these kids focus so hard on tomorrow at the expense of next week.
The reality is that this very good QB has very little chance of earning a living as a professional football player and he would be wise and prudent to plan accordingly while giving football his very best shot.

Wow some of you are being way too hard on this kid. Harris doesn't owe anybody anything and can handle his recruitment the way he wants. Calling a 17 year old names is pathetic, especially when there is a good chance he's coming to LSU

What's wrong with how he handled it? The fact that he has had different favorites at times or the fact that he hasn't kept his favorites private?
I don't have a problem with it...so I can't answer for them.

What "names" has Harris been called?
BTW, there is nothing routine about contacting a sports journalist/blogger and manipulating perception about one's recruitment.
That seems to me to be unusual. And yes, it does make me appreciate recruits like LF and many other higer rated recruits who handle the attention with more aplomb.

I hardly see this as proof of anything. for all we know he edited the contact information and had one of his friends text him this.

please take a minute to review what you have said about a 17 year old kid.

Right, Milkeno.
We cannot eliminate the possibility that elements of the cyber commnand from the People's Republic of China hacked Hamm's account, and inserted this information in order to embarrass Harris.

Harris is acting like a prima donna. And there hasn't been a prima donna QB win anything of significance in the SEC for a long time. The SEC QB's to win BCS championships have all committed to a school without any publicity seeking. I'd rather have Kizer just because of the way he has handled his decision making process.

Wait what?
All I'm saying is Hamm could have changed his friend "Ted" (or whomever) to BRANDON HARRIS and had "Ted" text him that story.
That scan hardly seems conclusive in anyway.

Let him go somewhere else. LSU will live without him.
I agree.
I wouldn't say this if we were talking about another position, but success at the QB position requires leadership skills and the lack of a me-first mentality. None of this makes me think that Harris would make a good leader of our team. Now, I know that kids can mature and grow and he could eventually overcome this to be a good QB, but none of this attention-seeking is good.
I said this last week about his situation and was blasted by a bunch of idiots. And what you say of leadership is true, and really not something you "grow" into. That is a natural thing and all I see from him is crazy, self-absorbed behavior now that his rating went up.
LSU is fine at the qb position if he keeps this up. It's the same I fell about Noil.
I want them both at LSU but I think they are both at positions in which LSU survives just fine without.
Linemen like Cam are positions that can cause long term problems when we miss.
