re: Fried shrimp recipe

Dry well. A squirt or two mustard. Season shrimp w creole seasoning of choice, not too heavy.
I like almost all flour with a bit of cornmeal for some crunch season dry w your choice, I use salt, black pepper, and some garlic powder.
Fry in smallish batches so they crisp well.

Walker should be able to score runs an anyone. I thought they were a touch short on pitching. I could definitely be wrong But I only know 3-4 guys on it.
Great team, and players, no doubt. But there are teams stacking arms, Barbe, Catholic, WM, etc, and pitching always gets my nod.
ETA. Nevermind, I didn’t read the last line! But Montgomery, Ard, Adair can move it. I love Ards game and Adair can hit the shite outta it

Only had 9-10 players show interest, I want to say 9. Just can’t field a team. Sucks because even if established they can’t play varsity ball for like 3 years or such.
And that field that Crowley redid is awesome

Is it my imagination or are we getting back into the traditional NBIS trading rhythm?

Everybody seems to think it's CMM at the foulline and CMM trying to defend the desperation last shot.
Don’t you love seeing those white shirts down there for the rebound!!!! Nothing says we ain’t know what the frick is going on like that.
No one on the shooter, all crashing the boards. lol.

Every coach overcomes hurdles at some point. Every program has crap happen. There are consistent winners. We have played three middle and lower SEC teams, All 4 w different styles. We should be able to match up w at least a couple, we lost all four

I am in agreement. A proven corner would be icing on the defensive side. And I love our two starters, but things happen in a season.

No it wasn’t. Did you watch the second half? Screen, screen, screen, open shot or a drive. Yet we stayed in man the entire
time. You just have to change it up after watching their adjustments
We did nothing. We did nothing different last game. Granted, we can’t run a zone at all, but you gotta try.

re: Has anyone made the move to flat brimmed caps
Posted by tigerfoot on 1/15/26 at 8:13 am to The Scofflaw
The problem I have is that the bucket flat brims fit my big head, some you can form the bill and the shape is good, some look stupid
The others have gotten so low profile that they don’t fit my head.
I’m in hat purgatory right now. Maybe that’s why some wear visors.

Of all the things we are not capable of doing with Thomas and Reed out, the one thing we should be able to do is defend that play. It was the only play that was coming. And we sat and watched it.
I normally don’t get unrealistic until August.
re: Why put someone on the passer?
Posted by tigerfoot on 1/14/26 at 8:15 pm to TigerDCC11
No reason to defend the passer. You put two on the big, and your best defender on their best guy as a second.
When you saw them break the huddle, you knew the play. Everyone knew the play once we missed the free throws.

We went after him twice...two fricking times, Nwoko goes full retard and that was it.
I wonder if MM even knew he had 4.
Couldve had him out of there and won the game.
Or make a free throw.
Or defend the last second play
Or not make lazy passes
Or switch up defenses maybe once a game.

This team is so so so so poorly prepared for anything. We may pull it out on individual effort, but that is the only way. It appears Nwoko has returned to his role playing days at State.
re: This further confirms how worthless Kelly was at LSU.
Posted by tigerfoot on 1/14/26 at 1:19 pm to TrueTiger07
Kelly was not good. But we went into the season thumping our chest about the rebuild of the program. Citing the talent and depth.
Let’s not be disingenuous regarding that.

I want the old days back. This is unsustainable
We encouraged an entire position group to leave. OM is bringing in Walker Howard
