Three of the top 10 picks in the NFL draft this year were left tackles. The year before, Jake Long was the #1 pick. Seantrel Henderson is the top college prospect in the country this year. Yes, it is a top 5 position. That's why the NFL compensates it as such.

Green is the only guy with experience, and he's short and stubby. Washington's body type is not that of a left tackle. Clair is some Juco I've never heard of, but wasn't highly touted.

Yes, Snead is a pocket passer. Jordan Jefferson is a better athlete probably than Snead (I realize that Snead is a good athlete), and I would consider him a pocket passer as well.

21. “Super Rebel” – Thought the “Wild Rebel” was fun? Wait until
the debut of the “Super Rebel.” The formation is apparently the
brainchild of Kent Austin and involves Jevan Snead leaving the field
entirely, according to the quarterback. That can only mean more athletes and more
playmakers on the field at once.

1. Because “it’s time” – After being paralyzed against Vanderbilt on
homecoming in 1989, Chucky Mullins inspired the Ole Miss football locker room prior to
the Rebels’ Liberty Bowl game against Air Force with his “it’s time” speech. Well, now
“it’s time.” It’s time for Ole Miss fans to be able to celebrate after all the angst
and heartache over the years from Tommy Tubberville, to Billy Cannon, Eli Manning’s
two left feet in ’03, and so on, it’s just simply the time for the Rebels.

I'm convinced. What a brilliant reason!

We've sucked for 50 years, so that means this is our time!

15. SEC Media days schedule – Call it a coincidence or call it calculated, but it seems like the 12 SEC teams are grouped into tiers of the elite for the upcoming season. Ole Miss is lumped in with Florida, Alabama and Georgia on the second day – several teams expected to have big seasons by all indications. If you need more proof, Mississippi State, Kentucky, Vanderbilt and Arkansas are grouped together on the first day.

My favorite one

9. Jaylon Snead's mustache - Anytime you have a mustache that ferocious on your side, good things are bound to happen. Jevan's dad knows a thing or two about a good 'stache, and a thing or two about good football also. He had been to every single one of Jevan's practices before college, and now makes it to Oxford as often as he can. Billy Tapp's midseason 'stache last year was also a thing of beauty, but Jaylon's is what will carry the Rebels into contention.

Another good one...AND IT"S #9 MIND YOU!!!

Just a quick question, I know very little about this site, and am wondering if prehaps I have stumbled upon the 13 & under board?

Pre-pubescent names like "Old Piss", "Old Myth", "Oxfart" and others lead me to believe that I must be.

Also infantile mutterings like "Ole Miss can't rush" and "The Ole Miss D will suck" just has to mean that I'm on the elementary school message board-right?

You hit the nail on the head with your comment. Welcome to Football in Mississippi. It's wait until next year every year. Well, It's been at least 20 years. They have Memphis coming up and they probably won't get past that game.

I have certainly displayed more intelligence than any of you have (save CWilken21 and TigersColts). At least I do not make random statements/opinions without some sort of statistical fact to back it up.

I have used a civil tone only to be attacked with names that have seemingly been plucked straight out of the recess yard of an elementary school. "Old Piss", "Old Myth", "Oxfart"? Really?
These "insults" are comming from grown men? I just cannot believe such a thing to be true.

As far as the SECW banner at VHS, officially, we did share the crown with LSU. Personally, I would not have had made or hung that banner given that we lost the tie-breaker with your Tigers due to the head-to-head results, but, hey, that wasn't my call.

And to the one of you that cited Ole Miss fans (I'm sure directed at me) talking of next year, if I am not mistaken, that is the whole point of the current thread (opening line being, and I quote "does anyone else here think that ole miss will not be all that they are getting cracked up to be next season?" end quote), hence my talking up next year. Seems as though would have got that.

Come down off your high horse...its not that high...stop playing the "maturity" card "intelligence" card and etc. you have barely been on this site and its not going to get you anywhere but more of the same attacks for playing those cards and it seems you have ran across Rantards just like the Ole Miss sites has its share of tards as well just like every message board that is out there...Tigerdroppings is no different...

Are you new to message boards? Not every poster is an adult, there are many teens as well...stop assuming that everyone is an adult or if they are, will act like one...

And as far as Ole Miss goes...they have one of the most pathetic OOC schedules I've seen in a while and they better do something this year cause I believe they lose Snead after the season to the NFL and they better hope they stay healthy cause they do lack serious depth and that is not just IMO that is many reports I am reading as well...

Not sure why this bothers folks so much....the SEC office sent them a trophy...they tied for first....we have the years we tied for first in our indoor practice facility...teams like ole miss, state, vandy, etc win so little they are going to acknowledge any trophy they receive...it really doesn't bother me like it does some on here...we won the freaking national title in 03 and ya'll care that ole miss has a West title banner at their stadium.....i'm sure they get a kick out of all the discussion on here....

Let me explain it to you, young Faulkner...and I'll continue to use small words so you don't have to use your dictionary to read this post. We hate all things "ole piss." Your school is a pretender, one that can't compete with elite programs on a year to year basis. More often than not, your teams are populated by midlevel talent and led by midlevel coaching. You had one good football season last year out of the last handfull, have a good coach, for the moment, and you got lucky and picked up a fine quarterback. We'll see how his protection holds up this season. If it's good, he'll produce wins and you benefit from a favorable schedule. But, I digress...this Board, in general, couldn't give less of a shite about your crappy school other than as a proper object of intense hatred. GFY, you SEC pretender...Ms. tea sipper

Hate to say it, but you may be right. I do hope like hell that the season is a huge bust for them, given the expectations, however.
