Our average isn't much different than yours.

With both LSU and Arkansas mid week attendance figured in, LSU is averaging about 1,000 more per game.

Substantial but, like I have said a million times, it is always a game of catch up with Arkansas.

Whether you care to discount it or not, our fans show up in larger numbers as the weather warms.

There will not be more than a 500 person difference in averages, just like the last 5 years.

LSU consistently draws more fans to games, not a fluky couple of games. You'll see the averages at the end of the year. We'll average nearly 8K.

How can you say that when LSU's average attendance for the last 10 years (7462) has been within a few hundred of capacity (7760). Arkansas hasn't had average attendance come within 2,500+ of it's capacity since they expanded to 10,500. Whereas LSU's capacity has increased by 1500 over last season and the average attendance to this point shows it, I don't see Arkansas pulling any closer to LSU, but indeed LSU pulling away. I predict Arkansas won't even be within 1000 of LSU in average this year.

LSU's average paid attendance at the end of this season will be around 9,500. Arkansas will be no where near that.

like i said before

the reason why you like looking at the last 5 years is that coincides with major Baum expansions...it just so happens that your timeline starts with a 2600 seat baum expansion..the stadium has had a capcity of almost 11,000 for a couple years now, it has held over 9,500 since the 2003 expansion...coincidentally thats around 5 years of having 2,500-3,500 more than the box...and yet slightly less average attendance

LSU capacity % is thus significantly better than Arkansas

additionally i would be shocked if LSU doesnt increase the average attendence margine in the wake of a larger stadium being built

Both schools rank high in paid attendance with LSU being #1. Enough said......imo

How do they rank in CWS appearances and National Titles in baseball? I would think that would be a tad more important in talking programs, but each to our own.

From this point, a little past the midway point of the season, Arkansas would have to average 10,200 attendance for the rest of the season just to stay within 500 of LSU (assuming LSU's average stays as it is). Good Luck!!!

Fortunately for you, LSU is coming to Baum, which should set all kinds of attendance records for Arkansas.

But your capacity is larger, a fact you keep ignoring. Our attendance is limited. The old box held 7,760. That's 97.8% filled compared to your 64.9%.

Thanks for wanting to be like LSU.

...all the while ignoring that LSU has averaged 5 to 10 more home games a year than it's nearest "competitor" in attendance.

Maybe if Arkansas had better fan support they would be awarded more regionals and super regionals.

Then you could be playing 5-10 more home games a year like LSU.

It's nice to see the Piggies emulating big brother LSU.

Keep it up guys, y'all are cute.

There are no points for second place, being the runner up still makes you the first loser. LSU still has a better attendance avg.

Hog fans are claiming 2 NCAA attendance records broken last night, and prominently registered on Wikipedia.

1. Largest on campus crowd for a midweek regular season game

2. Largest on campus crowd for a non conference game

I'm pretty sure we hold the record for Tuesday night games when the temperature is less than 55 degrees, during a full moon, in an odd number year, when the coach's last name starts with a "B". The records are endless!

How do the teams compare when it comes to sellouts? and how many more people would LSU have if there were more seats?

Just curious, how many games have been played in the snow? How many in freezing temps?
