I thought if a win was vacated by one team, they lose the W, but the loss still counts for the other team.

Vacated wins simply means the game didn't happen for the team vacating. It still counts as a loss for the loser.
See Arkansas-Ohio State....Ohio State vacated the win, but it is still a loss for Arkansas.

Finally. The field hurt lsu but really lsu played like crap all season and never had much offense. So we blame the field bc lsu didn't look better than they did all year.
