LSU's chance of winning these games
Sept.4, North Carolina, Atlanta, 60%
Tigers always play well on turf)
Sept. 11, Vanderbilt, Nashville, Tenn. 80%
Still outmanning this team even if we're outcoached.
Sept. 18, Mississippi State, Baton Rouge 50%
This team all but beat LSU; they will be improved and
LSU will be weaker
Sept. 25, West Virginia, Baton Rouge 55%
Only advantage is Tiger Stadium and possibility we
could be undefeated.
Oct. 2, Tennessee, Baton Rouge 40%
Reality sets in. Equal talent + better coaching + momentum of program equals signature win (for UT)
Oct. 9, Florida, Gainesville, Fla. 25%
Here we go gain.
Oct. 16, McNeese State, Baton Rouge 85%
Take solace in Miles in state record. Yay!
Oct. 23, Auburn, Auburn, Ala.
Better coaching, better scheme, on the road. 45%
Nov. 6, Alabama, Baton Rouge 33%
CBS gets tired of hyping this match up after 3rd straight
LSU loss.
Nov. 13, Louisiana-Monroe, Baton Rouge 90%
Nov. 20, Ole Miss, Baton Rouge
Domination two years in a row. Why should this year be any different? Miles can get fans excited, but can't bust a Nutt
45%
Nov. 27, Arkansas, Little Rock, Ark.
Far better coached team. On the rise with something to play
for. LSU = nothing to play for amidst rumors of Miles' departure.

you have to give us at least a 50% chance in every home game just because of Tiger Stadium's atmosphere. thats ridiculous
Posted on 12/2/09 at 11:13 am to Reality Tiger
I don't think we fare that bad but I think we finish 6-6 to 8-4. And that 8-4 is if we do everything we possible can in the offseason to unscrew our shitty play.

2 good things about next years schedule. Florida is not off the week before they play us. Alabama is still off the week before they play us, but next year we are off too.
It makes a big difference.

McNeese was in the D-IAA playoffs this year. Yea they lost...but remember what Appalachian State did to Michigan? In the Big House?

8 potential matches of ranked teams(assuming of course LSU stays ranked and I think they will). Should be a top 10-15 SOS when said and done IMHO. Two potential top 5 meetings, UF in the swamp and what I anticipate may be #1 'Bama coming here. You can make the case that 7 of 8 SEC opponents will be better than this season. Heck, even ULM and Mcneese are good in their respective levels. Definitely tough enough.

Northeastern(ULM) and Mcneese are on the schedule for home games and you call it strong? I call that pathetic.

North Carolina and West Virginia are both better than anybody we played outside of the SEC in 2009. We had four locks in OOC play this year, with the outside possibility of losing to Washington. Next year, we have two very possible losses outside of SEC play. As for the other two games, they're about the same as ULL and Tulane. La. Tech in 2009 was maybe better than McNeese and UL-M next year, but not by much. I'd be surprised if we don't lose at least one of the games against NC and WV next year.

Instead of Georgia on the road. This is the only different SEC opponent we have next year, and that trade is essentially a wash.
So, the SEC schedule remains about the same, while the OOC schedule gets noticeably more difficult. That means a tougher schedule. Honestly, anything better than 7-5 in the regular season will be a surprise to me. 6-6 or worse would not surprise me in the least.

i have heard many people talk about the "toughness" of next years schedule, i dont see it what makes next year any more tought than this year?
UNC returns a lot of starters next year from a bowl team this year.
WVU will still have RB Noel Devine, a very productive player.
Either of those programs is currently & will be in 2010>>>>the toughest 2009 OOC team, UDub.

So, you have us at 6.48 wins, or a tossup between 6-6 and 7-5. That's pretty close to my picks. I have us at 6.8 wins. Your handle is very accurate.

Well, lets see:
1. West Virginia replaces an in-state school
2. North Carolina (who beat Va.Tech and Miami this year) replaces an in-state school.
