I think most people are over the real reason most were pissed. that Lee didn't even get a chance... We probably would have lost anyway but we didn't even try. That and Miles quit in the 3rd quarter.
We can agree on this.

Yea I'm ready for 2012 too but watching the highlights I couldn't help but remember how awesome it was to be in TS and Dallas. And the other arse kickings.

Anyone who doesnt fully appreciate the 2011 season has not been an LSU fan for very long. If you have followed the Tigers since 2003 then you have only seen the greatest years of LSU football. For everyone else who suffered through the 90's, when you got excited at the idea of possibly cracking the top-15 lthen u realize how awesome life is right now. A ton of noob tiger fans here these days who are not happy unless we go 14-0 and win every game every year. I love how dominant we are right now but I miss the tiger fans from a decade ago who truly appreciated every game and every win!

I'll never forget sitting at our tailgate in Dallas, it was 107°. I'm sitting my chair under our canopy, I'm looking around at other Tiger fans tailgates, laughing at one guy that brought a plastic kiddie pool and people are splashing in it.
Then I see a guy that literally has a duck blind set up. Right where the parking lot meets the grass that borders it. He's inside the thing, but every now and then I'd hear a "quack quack" coming from there and I see him looking out of it, using a duck call. When Oregon fans would walk by it, his kid would jump out from behind it and squirt the Oregon fans with, no surprise here, purple and gold squirt guns. It was classic!

I totally agree with tadletelatt. But I also stay positive and think we will win it this year!

HAHA! We did but couldn't find a hose.
It was so flipping hot that I drank beer all day and not once did I have to use the bathroom. Not once! I sweated that shite off all day long, nasty!
This was us!

I remember those years too. My point was that we need to move on and forget about the past. We don't talk about the years when we didn't win a title so why worry about last season.
I am pumped about 2012 and I am ready to get this season started!
No arguing, just love for LSU football people!!!!

We'll win this year, but I'll never forgive Les for that shite.
Agreed! Miles threw away one of the best seasons in NCAA football history by letting his personal feelings overrule logic. Refusing to try anything different and staying with JJ leading our offense to the worst BCS championship offensive performance on record.
BAMERS are now purchasing their BCS Championship painting by Daniel Moore appropriately titled "The Shutout". Maybe I should purchase one and send it to Les so he'll never forget HIS BCS EPIC FAIL. My only hope is he learned from that experience.

Man, you lucked out and got some tree shade!
I was so close to asking the guy with the kiddie pool if I could just lay in it.

Yes, that was at 6am. That was the last time we had shade until after we got back from the game.

You should have!

likely the best regular season we'll ever experience
There is no likely to it. 2011 was LSU's greatest regular season ever. We beat 8 ranked teams. We beat 3 top 5 teams( 2 of theses were away from tiger stadium). 2 conference champs and the eventual national champ( at their stadium). No doubt about it. Had LSU won on jan9th it wouldve been the greatest season ANY PROGRAM has ever had.

Does anyone give a shite about the Patriots perfect season? Not unless you are a NE fan. If not, all you know is that they won 16 games in the regular season and crapped out in the Super Bowl.
I will say it once more, "No one cares if you don't win the last game of the season."
Who the hell gives two shits what other fans think?

I think about 2011 all the time as one of the best and most entertaining footballs seasons ever. LSU did something that has only happened 5 times in the entire HISTORY of the SEC by going undefeated in the conference and the regular season. Of course Jan 9 sucked but 2011 was magical !
