Brad Davis would be a good hire, imo. Not sure about his recruiting ability but he can develop what we have at the least.

We are on probation and you don't know the full implications on the recruiting violations. They haven't even ruled on our self imposed ones as it is. Yes, more penalties will be coming. Loss of ships or worse, bowl bans on the extreme side. Depends on a lot of factors. Guess we'll find out.

The firing of Cregg is not nearly as big a concern as the timing. I realize it was unavoidable but this is awfully late to be looking for a replacement. I hope it works out.

Atkins is a really good technical coach. I'm split on who i want more. Good problem to have.

Outside of the coordinator spots it almost ALWAYS comes down to recruiting ability for Orgeron. Whoever is better at that aspect is who O will prefer. If one is is a better "technical" coach while the other is a better recruiter it is a safe bet O is going with the recruiter. Particularly in light of the fact Cregg appeared to fall short in that category.

I get your point of view here, but I would bet the pull of home and getting out of Pittman’s shadow since he will get credit for o-line play (my opinion only).
Similar to Little Nicky having DC’s doing so, plus working for that miserable elf and getting dog cussed often. At least Pittman’s colleagues like working with/for him.
