My junior year. Back then the two rows right in front of the Golden Girls was roped off for the ROTC cadets. I did the presentation of the Colors during the national anthem. We rushed back to the ROTC building to change out of uniform and get back to the game. When we got back it was already 14-0. Didn't sit once throughout the rest of the game. Also, back then they had the ROTC cadets line the back of the endzone at the fence to supposedly help deter students from rushing the field (yeah right). That game, we were helping students over the fence. I ended up on the crossbar of the goalposts from the NEZ just to the left of the right upright and helped bring it down. Sprained my ankle in the process when that bad boy came down and I landed on someone's foot. Great times.

Remember the “victory tshirts” that they printed?

Something along the lines of “You always remember your first time … in Tiger Stadium” and then the score.

My secretary at the time, whose thoughts never strayed outside the box, put a big arse “Received” date stamp on the SI cover over Faulk’s left thigh and the Gator defender’s face mask. Still SMDH over that.

That game is on a vhs tape somewhere. That, or there is an old vhs porno lying around because I'm pretty sure at one point I used the label "LSU v Florida 1997" to conceal the actual contents of the tape
Freaking hilarious!
I seem to remember having an old vhs tape like that. It was titled "Leonard/Hagler".

I was on the way home from a bachelor party in NOLA, me and a buddy decided to see if we could get tickets. Picked up 2 tickets in the south end zone. Was there from about the middle of 2nd qtr. it was my first game ever in Tiger stadium. I was an LSU fan prior to that day but after that I was hooked for life.

a friend that was at LSU and in the student section kept some purple and gold painted grass in a zip lock back that he took when he stormed the field. haven't seen him in about 10 years, but last time i ran into he still had it.

25 years... damn I'm getting older

Most crowded student section I can remember from my day. I still have tiger stadium grass in a ziplock from that night. The grass is dead but it still has purple paint on it.

We were still partying when the sun came up.

I was a senior in HS and we were in the middle of a crazy run to the district title that year...We played a shitty game and won....We were pissed after the game because we got wrecked by our coaches for playing like arse.

One of our wide receivers is a huge Gator fan...he was talking so much trash Friday night after the game about FL embarrassing LSU at home.. he was making it a point to go to each locker and let us know.

I remember he was home "sick" on Monday. We loaded up after practice and sat in his driveway for over an hour screaming at him until he came out to face the music. His dad loved it and joined in, his mom was pissed.

I had just graduated May '96, but my GF still had SS tix.

The second half was so loud, my eyevalls were vibrating and I could barely focus.

When we rushed the field, I got run over by a Mack Truck named Tommy Banks at midfield. I flew about 8 yds and leveled 3 or 4 people in the process.

I remember the shirt also saying: "The night the goal posts came down." I think the "first time" was in reference to the first time the goal posts had come down. But don't quote me on that.

Looks photoshopped. You should be a detective. Also no purple and gold in the stands.

Was there. Probably the best game I’ve attended.
