Harris didn’t play enough to make the statement that we got better or worse because of him. Now Divinity on the other hand.....

Looks like they'll have a lot of size up front combined with speed and versatility in the back end. They'll probably simplify things a bit and let the guys play fast. I think we'll see a dominate defense next season from day 1.

Damn what that list shows, which we all knew after all the juniors declared, we are seriously young on defense!

And that is usually not a recipe for success in football.

ok

Dude is a chase young type of talent and you think he wouldn’t see the field over fricking Justin Thomas?

A SR who has like 5 career tackles

I don't disagree with you about anything you siad. I think Vincent will continue the role he played this year which was a nickel/safety roll. I do think if Clark and Baskerville both start it will be Baskerville in the middle because Clark is better in coverage. I'm not convinced that Baskerville will start though so I could see Clark at either. As far as Webb, he may well end up with his hand in the dirt but he played as an ILB in high school and has the speed. Sam linebackers blitz fairly regularly so he could still blitz from LB. He would have to add 30 or so pounds at least to play DE. I think Ojulari is bigger than what is listed and he has experience with his hand in the dirt already. I won't be a bit suprised to see some 3-4. Most good teams do mix it up week-to-week and in game. Brooks is a beast in the rush, I think they'll take advantage of that on passing downs but I don't see him gaining the weight to be a true 3 down DE. With Farrell I thinkl he will lose 10-15 pounds and he has the athleticism to play SDE. Mainly I think those are the 3 best DL and I didn't see anyone else I think would offer a better fit at SDE as far as talent. Hopefully Gaye, Roy, Cherry, and maybe Burch will all be ready to play and can fill that roll. It'll be fun to watch and see what happens!

You always overvalue young guys. We’ve done this before & you’re just about always wrong lol

Link?

I said after the UT game that Stingley was the best corner in college and would be 1st team AA, how did that turn out?

Laugh all you want. Burch needs a year to develop. He’s very raw.

I could possibly see him splitting time by mid-season.

Not Chase Young yet. And not better than Justin Thomas yet.

Every year posters do this - way overhype and crown freshmen as the best before they even step on the field.

Some are doing the same with Ricks. Like he’s gonna start from day one.

Ricks won’t start. Right now he’s not better than Flott

But what has Justin Thomas done to be warranted a starting spot? A couple of QB hurries? He hasn’t proven shite.

Dude wasn’t even on the team half of the year

He was ahead of Farrell when he was on the team.

Farrell, who as of right now is projected to start.

I agree. I hope Burch chooses LSU and comes in as good as Chase Young was this year. But after watching him in the all star practices and his game film I think it'll take a little time. He's got tremendous talent and upside but he looked like he needed some technique work. Plus he played all over in HS so maybe once he focuses on DE he will take off. That said he may at least contribute as a pass rusher and even more towards the end of the year similar to Chase Yound his freshman season. Very few come in ready day 1. Stingly is the VERY rare exception
