While watching the grammys the other night, I was reminded for the 9,000th time that rap and hip hop are probably the worst things that ever happened to this planet.

i'm no huge rap fan, but I understand that just because i'm not into something doesn't make it trash or unclassy. I wonder how much rap music Jason has actually sat down and listened to. IMO, some of the lyrics are really an artform. All music has "artist" that downright suck, but you hear one guy talk about sex and drugs and you think it's trash.

I am also a musician, and rap music sounds like a bunch ignorant cavemen beating on trashcans.
No, I heard the soundtrack to Stomp . . . it didn't sound anything like 50 Cent.

Anyone find it ironic that he's holding a shitload of money while wearing the free shirt they gave out for I believe the Bama game in 05(maybe 06)?
Yes, but he's a rapper. They're not really known for being well thought out.

Just because you dont like something doesnt make it trash Jason. You think it is trash but that is some peoples culture and you have no right to judge what they do or listen to. I dont say classical music is shite because you listen to it. So you can go somewhere else if you are going to say you are better than other people because they do something you dont like.

You must be a democrate. You must be the type of person that is so afriad of being politically correct huh? I'm not. It's amazing that we are to the point in this country where people can't even voice their opinions or views without some weakling saying they are being mean or judgemental. It's called freedom of speech pal. Music artists have the freedom of speech to produce what they want and I also have the freedom to voice if I don't care for it or not. Yeah, you're right it's some people's culture but you know what I say? Change your freaking culture, grow up and do something contructive and positive with your life and make a positive impact and difference in other people's lives instead of producing garbage. LSU has a culture of team work and winning and working hard. Guess what? If some people come along (Players) don't want to conform to that POSITIVE culture they can carry their butts. I do see what your saying loussenile but you obviously didn't see what I said. See you might be the type of guy that things their is no absolute right or wrong since "Just because you don't like something doesn't make it trash". Thats fine I guess we'll always disagree on this particular subject but at the end of the day who cares? It's freaking chat messege board. I have my views based on my EXPERIENCE in life and you have yours. You can argue with an idea but you can't argue with a testimony. But if I don't like something and I think it's trash I will call it that and could care less if you think what I say is to strong or not. I care nothing about being politcally correct and seeker friendly but rather just telling it like it is, kinda like Emmitt Randle did to Coach Miles.
