i thought we were going to get a 5 or 6 seed but LSU can only blame themselves for playing like dick down the stretch.

not to mention we didn't beat a single top 25 team all year.

I'd prefer a 10 point loss to Butler vs. a 30 point beatdown by the Heels in Greensboro.....when does football season start??

Technically a hosejob, but actually a blessing..

I don't why so many in this thread are crying..

As Butler despite having some size up front, has been playing poorly of late, and was gashed by speedy Guard play of Cleveland State, and further more has struggled offensively of late.

Being in line to play UNC in the 2nd Round makes for an daunting task.

Everyone sounds like fair-weather fans tonight...we need to accept the seeding, go out & concentrate on kicking Butler's arse, that's all that matters right now.

I'm excited at the possibility of seeing Garrett Temple shut down UNC in the second round, but Butler will be tough in the first.

Well, as an LSU alum and Duke alum, I hope we get to beat UNC, then get to the point where we play Duke and barely beat them. Regardless I hope UNC LOSES BIG SOMEWHERE. I HATE the TARHEELS>

Saw Butler beat South Alabama in B'ham last year in the first round. They leaned heavily on three's. They are as beatable as any 9 seed, but disciplined and well-coached. Should be a good game, but I think we beat them.

On second thougt: LINK

Hope Lawson is not ready to play on Saturday. But we have no one who can handle Hannsboro, so it may not matter unless we can stop everyone else on UNC>

Disagree. Winning the SEC regular season handily should count for more. The selection committee dropped the ball re LSU, and really boned the Tigers.

Bottom line, however, is that you to win games, and you have to beat some good teams. I know nothing about Butler but my hunch is that LSU will be super-motivated and will win. UNC ... actually, I think LSU may match up OK w/ them, particularly if their PG is out, or hurt. Who will guard Hansbrough ... Temple? Mitchell?

Can't wait to see how Trent prepares this team. I think everyone is still scarred from Brady's tenure.

I say we boycott. So our players can go screw the offspring of the "men" who screwed us.

Nawh, no need to boycott. It sure looks like this bracket was designed for an early LSU exit from the tourney. Here is hoping that the Tigers can spoil this and advance. We need to continue to play good perimeter d and hope our shots start falling like rain. Filling the bucket that is.

We lost at home to Vandy, got destroyed by Auburn, then lost to a team we beat twice. We f'ed ourselves, not the NCAA.

On a positive note, I like the Butler matchup and should win this game. UNC is another story.

Doesnt look promising at all. LSU has played horrible the past 2 weeks. They got the seed they deserved based on recent play.

If we squeek by Butler, looks like a blow out party against UNC
