nice spin...and I guess it doesn't bother you at all that LSU is getting hosed in the "contract."

If LSU is getting hosed in the contract, isn't that on the AD?

What I'm saying is that isn't the AD the one that negotiates the contract? I don't think you fault Miles for getting all of the money he can.

LSU negotiated the contract too. Are you saying they're not a big boy? And how is it spin?

You know how we're getting hosed? We're paying O to be our head coach. That infuriates me much more so than paying out Miles's contract.

Both situations are equally infuriating. We wouldn't be paying the grass eater much of anything if we hadn't let him leverage extentions with empty threats to leave for greener pastures. frick him for being a greedy, manipulative prick.

O talked himself into a job he clearly wasn't qualified for. He should be paying us for the privilege to coach here.

And all the while...while Rome is burning I might add...Joe Alleva sets idly by with his thumb firmly up his azz.

Wheeeeeeeeeeeeeeee!!!!!!!

If LSU is getting hosed due to the contract that Les was given, then there are no words that can describe the level of sodomy LSU has and will endure due to Alleva's contract with Coach Zero!

Uh, no. They aren’t. At all.

Miles was given an extension after the 2012 season because he had been working under the same contract since winning the national title in 2007.

His salary had been about 3.75 million per year, just a bit above our current coach’s salary, and the raise put him in the more appropriate 4 million plus range for a coach that had won two SEC Championships and played in two national title games, winning one, in his eight years on campus, with six of those seasons ending in double digit wins.

Miles should have received a raise and extension after 2011, one of the greatest seasons in school history. But as always, instead of doing the right thing, clown Joe caved to public sentiment after the 1/9 disaster and put off doing what was always going to have to be done.

So after another very successful season in which LSU played every single game ranked in the top 10 until the last second bowl game loss to another top 10 opponent bumped us to #12 to end the year, yeah a school inquired about our underpaid and highly successful coach.

In another classic Alleva move, he overreacted and overextended, not overpaid, Miles to keep him from even considering the overtures from his longtime friend at Arkansas.

It’s funny that most of the same haters that blame Miles for some sort of extortion of LSU defend Ed Orgeron’s ridiculous contract, when not a single other school would have even considered giving him a phone call, as just the cost of doing business. They say you have to pay competitively to show faith in the coach and project stability, and prove to recruits that the coach will be there.

If that is what Ed Orgeron deserves, what did a coach that had won 85 games in his first eight years deserve?

But by all means, continue your bitter hateful attacks against a coach that has never said or done a single thing to disrespect or disgrace LSU.

Oh yeah, and this type of rhetoric from irrational dumb fricks like you is what created the environment where an impressionable dipshit like Alleva would not only hang Miles out to dry in 2015, but fire a NC championship coach in September, something never done in CFB history to my knowledge, opening the door for our current embarrassment of a head coach to swindle one of the top jobs in the country from the worst AD in the country.

Congrats and thanks. Enjoy your miserable day and life

In hindsight, given the idleness that is currently Miles, I'd say it was a sure bet.

Typical kneejerk response by LSU.

Coach Miles is the classic example of you either die a hero or see yourself live long enough to become the villian.

Maybe not as extreme as villian but I believe he gets more flack than the man deserves.

Thank you Les, would love for LSU to put him in some sort of front office job
