Just trying to start some conversation other than the same old tired stuff.

Add upper decks to both endzones. Wait about 50 years and build a brand new one.

RENOVATE!!!! :) to much history at TS to build new one!

Talk of a New Tiger Stadium = Sacrilege.
Just RENOVATE the hell out of it inside and outside like Tennessee is doing with Neyland, but with a Roman Colisuem style architecture. Check out what UT has already done and has planned for Neyland.(www.utsports.com) LSU is lagging way behind in keeping their football stadium up to date............

I understand that it will not be popular at first but if you think about it... it could use A LOT of upgrading. My question would be where would you put it?

Considering how bad TS has started to look and how nice and state of the art most of the other SEC Schools stadiums are compared to TS, should LSU build a new TS?
You Sir, should be banned for life for even asking such a question.

Nooooooo.Facelift the outside and put chairbacks in all of the seats. That is it. I hope they never tear it down. It would never be the same.

Why? Its a good question. I knew when posting it that opinions would vary alot.
Still, its slow and its a good topic.

I have been to many other schools, and there is nothing like Tiger Stadium. No one expects the NFL-type stadium on a college campus, not even the recruits. When I went to Norman the first time, there was a dirt floor on the bottom level of the concourse. My first visit to Notre Dame (prior to the renovation) made me think they had fewer bathrooms than the Independence Bowl (that means bad). I saw nothing that was state of the art in State College, Knoxville, Oxford, Lubbock (pre-renovation) . . . I could go on. I will say that Texas has a nice set up, but that's the only one I can think of right now.
If you went to Duke, would you want to scrap 68-year old Cameron Indoor Stadium?

I think we should renovate and use the same architect the bears used for soldier field. The new renovation makes their stadium look awesome. And by awesome I mean not awesome.

Face it, big time recruits look at things like this.
Yeah, here's a link to back that up.

I think a retractable roof would attrct recruits big time with some new field turf that would make an NFL field jealous. Man it's too bad we are lagging so far the other SEC schools and their fancy new stadiums. Five star recruits only look at them FWIW FYI IMHO

Are they ever going to take the bars of the new windows, they look like shite.

Would you want them to?
Absolutely not TS is a tradition and we all know down here we take tradition to heart. To tear TS for a state of the art stadium would be a tragedy and a outrage. I'm not saying that TS isn't fine as is, and renovations aren't needed, but the thought of tearing down a state treasure would be ill-reponsible. Recruits come to LSU for the experience of playing sports in the BEST CONFERENCE in the land, and TS is a selling point but not a determining factor.
