When I started junior high basketball, I needed some basketball shoes. So, we head to Sears in Ellick and my mom bought me some Ted Williams high top converse knock offs. Never forgave her for that.

Played golf in Westlake on Presidents Day and on the way back there was a line of cars on the shoulder a least a quarter of a mile long. Waiting to buy crawfish at a to go spot. Must have been good.

Vernon Parish's own. My grandson played travel ball with him when younger. He took his path to Physical Therapy school starting in the fall instead of baseball. Good luck to both.

Saved me thousands of dollars. My first was used Yukon. Couple years old warranty timing out in 6 months. Buy extended warranty till 100000 miles. Paid cash for it at a little over 1000.00, bumper to bumper. First alternator went out, 1500. Electronic shite happened, over 500.00. 50.00 deductible. Now this was back in the late 90’s. Wife just bought a used KIA and bought extended warranty and how few miles she drives, no worries on breakdowns

Not a routine but funny. Before Ft. Polk changed their nines, the first hole, now 15, there was a 4' long metal pipe shaped on a J but slightly askew, about four feet off the ground held up by metal legs. Hole at the top and the bottom was open just on the topside. There was a sign that said putt ball in the pipe before teeing off. Well, we pull up and there is a foursome of soldiers standing around the pipe putting in ball after ball and looking around confused. The pipe is used for who tees off first if the first hole is busy. Well, they thought it was part of the game. They just keep putting their ball in the pipe and stand there confused, probably about 5 minutes. I finally explain to Lucy that it's to see who tees off next. If your ball is next, you're up on the tee. No telling how long they been standing there putting in ball after ball. And yes, they had rental bags. CSB.
