Someone that remembers needs to tell the story of when he broke someone's facemask at practice, punched him right through the damn thing, if I recall.

Also fought and beat the crap out of either Michael Brooks or Eric Hill. I think it was Brooks

I think about this guy everytime I'm mowing grass by a hwy, which is weekly.
What a shitty way to die.

Thanks for posting the video. Good stuff.

Great video. Eric was GREAT Tiger! I was talking to his dad after a game in Lexington when he came out of the locker room. He was still jacked up. KY's dline was calling signals drawing him offsides. I remember him saying,"they play dirtier than MSU".He was fired up!
BTW Hodson got stiches in his tongue at halftime, and LSU scored 2 late touchdowns to come from behind to win the game.

It was Hill. Hill put a late hit on Mickey Guidry at practice.

He's up this year again for the NFL Hall of Fame and I believe this year he gets in.

He had a lot to do with Barry Samders rushing success and is deserving of a bust in Canton....

Eric was a great football player indeed, but also a very nice and genuine guy off the field.

Probably about 25 years ago or so, our family took one of those Commodore Cruises that used to leave from New Orleans. About our 2nd or 3rd day in the cruise, my brother and I were swimming in the pool at the back of the ship. Suddenly, the biggest and most built dude we had ever seen comes out to the pool deck. I was about 10 years old, & my brother was 8. Our jaws dropped, as this guy looked like Arnold. He was about 6'4"-6'6", and probably 280-290 with likely about 6% body fat. He was frickin huge and shredded. As my brother and I were talking, someone in his party spoke up to us: "hey boys, that is Eric Andolsek. Go up and talk to him. He'll sign autographs for you, & he's very nice to fans."

We were a little nervous (intimidated) when we approached him, but he smiled, talked to us at length, signed autographs, and was genuinely a great person. He was also very doting to his wife.

We were crushed years later when we heard about the accident that took his life. Great man, & Tiger Legend for sure. He had a number of Pro Bowls and I think he was an All-Pro a time or two.

and this people is how URBAN MYTHS are born!

he was 6'2"

There were only two guys on the team in 1987 who could bench 465 or more. Care to guess who? Nacho and Eric.

Lol. Again, to a 10 year old, he loomed large. I was only off by a couple of inches.
