Bama will have a different experience this year without paid off refs.

I am an LSU fan so I would of hit him back with some response. Standing there with your thumb up your butt is not real impressive.

I was in an O'reilly Auto Parts with my LSU shirt on and a guy at the register said I should give his buddy a hard time because he was an Alabama fan.
The man at the register said to his buddy, "You see that guys LSU shirt there?"
His buddy said, "Yea I see it, and I will be fine with them as long as they keep Les Miles as thier coach." (Bashing Miles)
Really pissed me off to where I was speechless.
Thoughts?

I think that Gump is going to eat his words.
Bama is lucky to have beaten LSU last year. We had the lead going into the 4th quarter (as we did in just about every game in '09.) Then the Tuscaloosa referees took over.

There's no doubt we could have won the '08 game in DV. Coulda woulda shoulda but we gave it away.

I had a similar situation come up at a gas station. I had a LSU hat on and some gump shouted, "Hey, we got your coach." I forgot what I was wearing and stared at him with the most blank look. I said, "ooookkkkaaayyy?" It was a quite amusing stare off. I thought he was drunk until I got back into the car and my wife pointed it out to me. Pretty funny at the time.

Here we go again.

LSU is 3-2 vs Bama the last 5 seasons.
Bama had to go to OT in 08 to beat perhaps the worst LSU team in over a decade.
NC Bama was losing to LSU at Bama in the 4th in 09.

Gosh, I'm so scared to play Bama at home this season.

Rub it in his face that Les Miles usually beats their coach...oh, wait. Never mind.

Why won't they have paid off refs this year? Did they run out of money?

The SEC will still be determined to get a team in the NC game. They'll look over the conference and see Alabama and Florida as the two best candidates. They can't arrange a matchup of unbeaten teams in the CG this year like they did last year, so they'll need to arrange a matchup of one unbeaten team with one 11-1 team. Preferably the 11-1 team should be Florida against the undefeated SEC West champion in a rematch of the only game Florida loses, since Florida plays both of us. It would make the most sense, create more drama for the CG and hurt Florida less in the rankings if their only loss is on the road to the #1 team than if they lost at home to a team barely in the top 10 (assuming we're undefeated going into the UF game and ranked that high).

So, the natural script will be that Florida loses on the road at Alabama, but beats everyone else, while Alabama goes undefeated into the SECCG. At that point, it's likely that whoever wins would go to the NC game. If that's not certain going into the SECCG, then they will make sure Alabama beats Florida a second time so they will be guaranteed to go.

Unfortunately, that leaves everyone else, including us, out in the cold. Florida and Alabama will likely beat us this year even with fair officiating, but if they need help, you can bet your last nickel they'll get it. The Florida-Alabama game the week before we play Florida should tell the story. If Alabama wins that, then both teams will beat us whether they actually beat us or not.

It took the gumps a few cheating refs to get a win despite we playing at their home AND LSU's poor offensive scheme last year. Look for that to change this year. I don't see us losing to them.
Yeah, we are gonna be fine with Mile's at helm.

I don't understand where LSU fans come up with this idea that Bama fans get angry at the sight of purple and gold. If anything, it's the other way around. My brother and sister in law (Bama grads) live in N.O. catch hell from their LSU friends and their LSU co-workers and are always hearing smart ### comments about Alabama from them. They HAAAAATTTTEEEE Alabama much worse than Bama dislikes LSU. You may here wisecracks from Gump Bama fans but the Bama haters my brother hears from are actual LSU grads that SHOULD have a more healthy educated perspective on the rivalry.
