ESPN hates LSU.

Most over-rated player last season. I've never seen a OT hold as much as he does and not get called. He's definately got the potential to be great.

Fact: JPW as a starter is 13-13. I would have thought he'd have a better record.

Yeah, pretty bad isn't it? He'll probably shatter every passing record at Bama while compiling the worst winning percentage ever.

Thats what I'm saying, he also finished 92nd. in the nation in passing efficiency. A fumble against LSU, INT. vs St. Can he take that next step this year?

Just a side note: Shouldn't his blatant holding of Pittman been called, resulting in a half the distance penalty? It WAS the focal point of the recovery, and all eyes should have seen it. The announcers even joked about it. No difference in the outcome, but could have prevented our recovery had a bammer recovered.

Yes. Are you saying that it is not holding if it's a live ball? If I'm wrong on the rules I will take my correction like a man.

I'm not sure. You may be right.

I was alluding to the holding that Smith did ALL season long. I realize he was hurt, but the officials really let him go. Ziemba was another player I watched hold all season long.

Just another example of being owned by LSU that day.

Huh? I don't have to think he's a good qb for either of those things to happen. He's already broken many of the passing records in two seasons as a starter and has a whole season to go. Winning percentage is just another collection of statistics....
Liking him or not liking him doesn't play into either of those.

My biggest complaints with him are his friggin' ridiculous turnovers, overthrows, and locking onto a receiver right from the snap....but sure, other than that he's good.

You could call it freight training and Smith was the caboose.

I watched Alabama on TV last season and heard all the hype. I expected and Allan Faneca type performance and was disappointed. There is another season so we can take note and see who is correct.

It ain't worth much, since Andre committed to Mike Shula. You'd think his dad would know that.
