being that im from pineville i can attest to the fact that the town talk is the crappiest, most poorly ran and written paper i've ever come across.
This is the truth. You can easily go through the paper and find tons of misspellings, botched headlines, and little relevant content..

Alexandria is pretty much the greatest city in America.

I've traveled all over Louisiana over a 50 year period and I've taught school in both north and south Louisiana. Trust me, there is more than enough negativity to go around in this state. Having said that, just ask Shorty and he will tell you negas about the homo sports writers in this state...he despised them and disrespected them whenever he got the chance. And many of these homo reporters hate LSU football because it represents everything that they are not...violent, manly, and a WINNER!

Dont buy a town talk for the sports today. Not a single word about the 6:30 LSU game. NO COVERAGE AT ALL! Not even the score . Not even head negatiger Guilbleaux.
Same for today on the Tulane game. Looks like Sunday coverage of night games is over.

Gannett consolidated the printing of the Alex newspaper to Lafayette. That means the deadline for what goes into the paper has been moved up.
Anything finishing after 9:00 p m is pretty much a mystery to those getting that paper. It sucks. Of course the internet has something to do with that (which is what you are on right now

Alexandria's not that bad of a place (Pineville's better, though.) But the Town Talk is an absolute embarassment for anyone who has ever completed anything above the 7th grade. Horrible writing, grimy sports reporters (physically grimy, I mean, with oily hair, unkempt clothes, etc.) No one expects them to show up in a tux to a sporting event, but just about everyone can afford a shower and a brush.

I know what you're trying to say. It doesn't matter. I still buy the paper. For how long though, I can't say.
