Unified cheering with 20 people isn't that great. I watched a lot of basketball this year and most school are packing it in unlike LSU. The student sections I saw at LSU this year could not compare to the past glory days of Shaq and Chris Jackson or the the most recent final four team. I know a lot of it depends on the team winning. I appreciate the effort by the students that go out there. The students are less than 20% of the crowd. The rest of the "fans" need to step up.

neck, did you hear us over by the Intimidator on Friday night? We had the entire section chanting Peter...

I've heard the guy myself. Don't know him but the more noise we as fans can create, the better, IMO. Seriously, who wants to sit in a quiet stadium, field, court or Assembly Center during a game? I don't, so I say cheer on. Him, the K lady, the old guy behind home plate, the right field lunatics....I love 'em all!

Do you know him? If so, ask him to step in front of the train next time it rolls by. What an annoying, attention-seeking a-hole.
I don't know the man, but he's been doing that for the 21 years that I've been going to the games. If he annoys you, then probably Chris, Birdman, K-Lady annoy you too. I'm sure they were there doing what they do long before LSU baseball caught your attention. You remind me of someone who would build a home next to a sewer plant then complain that it smells.

I hate this guy. I sat behind him at the game against Brown. He is a huge dickhead. He drank 1 Abita Amber the whole game. I mean if you're gonna drink at the Box bring a 6er.

He's a friend of the family and a huge LSU baseball fan. I guess I'm biased but the cheer doesn't bother me.

I don't think you understand what it would be like to sit near someone who hollers constantly and thinks that he/she is an important part of the game.

Guillot is great, especially on the road. He really gets the fans going for the road games. The opposing teams fans respect his enthusiasm from what I've seen.

Would you and your son like to sit next to or directly in front of this guy every game? Can you imagine trying to watch and enjoy a ballgame?

I can and I do. He is a GREAT guy. Living in Alabama , I see LSU away games over this way. He has made the difference in Starkville, Tuscaloosa, and Auburn. I witnessed him turn the Saturday Arkansas game from a 5-1 loss in the 7th to a come from behind victory. The players gave total credit to the fans for the win. Chris got us going

I've sat near him at Vandy and UT.. love it, it's called passion.

sounds like a bunch of "get off my lawn!!" types in this thread, if you don't like cheering go to an opera
Posted on 4/5/10 at 11:53 pm to rintintin
What it really sounds like is a bunch of women having a kackle fest at the neighborhood beauty salon.... all bitching and moaning about anything they can get their hands on....
THEY SOUND LIKE frickIN BITCHING WOMEN!

Let's review, since your reading comprehension obviously lacks.
An LSU "fan" (Old Man River, the OP) starts a thread chastising another LSU fan for cheering at the game. He calls him an a-hole, gives him the
I respond that the fan in question is a nice guy, and perhaps the OP is an a-hole for making an assumption about someone he doesn't know.....yet I'm "not much for opposing views"?
You sound like a whiner, just like the OP. Are you the OP's husband? If so, your husband is a whiner. I don't know how you put up with it.
