Then what options do you have in Game 3? I don't see how you can throw all your eggs into one basket in a game that if you win, it's over.....and you're saving your best arm for a more important game in Game 3.

Instead of pitching Ranaudo and just beating the frick out of them.
PM said he'd wait to see how AR was feeling the morning of the second game. He did and decided to go w/ Ross. Ranaudo on three days rest in 100 degree weather doesn't equate to beating the frick out of them.

If we hit and score runs like we're capable, we'll be alright.

Oh I know this. I have all the confidence in the world in Ross tonight. And even Ranaudo will come in with a little mop up duty to get him in the game.

I wasn't implying we would win three games. We would sweep them in 2 games. I would have to be an idiot to think that we would win three games in a best two of three series, and I don't think that LSU gives diplomas to idiots(then again we are talking about louisiana here). However, I wasn't aware that Ross got the thumbs up, which makes this blog irrelevent.

Ross starting is a good strategy and heres why:
Texas has to win to continue. They will pitch their best pitchers no matter what tonight to get the win. If they win, they are down to their 3rd string and will face a rested arguably 1st string AR who will put the nail in the coffin for us. It's a safer strategy than to pitch AR not fully rested and have to relie on our bullpen against their bullpen in game three.

In the end it doesn't matter if we win in two or three, It matters that we win!

Winning in three is actually a safer strategy.
Go ahead and flame now

That doesn't make any sense. Then again, Rummel was always known for offering a stellar education.

It does make sense - I can't help the fact that you don't get it.

Oh, and very original with the Rummel comment...haven't heard that one before.
