Let's see ... what you call the "race card" is just simple recognition--which this board brings out quite well--that this fan base is made up of a significant number of ignorant, threatened white rednecks of all ages, who can't wait until there is a failing with a Jamarcus Russell or Jordan Jefferson, so they can then say in so many words that he was just another N-word.

Racist smacist, Timlan obviously has a deep seated inferiority complex that he needs help with. May even have schizophrenic issues as he thinks Whitey is after him and all the issues of the day are because Whitey didn't give everything to him on a silver platter.
The South reference is something I never heard until I moved to the Northeast. These people still characterize all southerners as hillbillies and racists.
If people that continue to use the word racist all the time would take care of their own inadequacies first, and quit blaming everyone else for them, the world would be a better place.

Their missing the obvious is hilarious.
This thread is the South in microcosm. So much to love (college football, some perceptive folks about our history) and so much to hate (the "grass eaters" as Earl Long called them.)
But thanks BR. When I see guys with your perception, it does give me hope for the future.
